question about how best to use PK13-14

ive used pk13-14 in bubblers. alll that i have read on it from other users favors the use of only 1 week. but 1 other important thing is to use it at half the strength; not full strength

Iam still learning but what is use is Xtreme Potash,

On my bottle is says-

 

Advanced flowering additive for the use when BIG BUDS are required,

directions- use 2ml to 1 ltr of nutrient solution or 300ppm, when using with extreme flower use 4ml of a+b ONLY!,

 

its a pk 9-18

 

i think im going to b shooting for more organic nute mixes in the future..

its just toohard to tell these days whats in chem nutes..

 

UMM i reakon it would be PURE nutes, chemical nutes contain nothing but the nutrients, where organic mixes can contain all sorts of stuff, poo, seaweed etc. it includes living organisms.

I know for me I would rather know what is going in to my body than use organic nutes.

BUT at the same time, I really prefer the taste of organics, it just makes the MJ plant alot more fragrant etc.

 

 

My bottle doesnt say to use for just one week, and I also think its BS to just use it instead of A+B because its just P and K, where A+B contains all ya trace elements and stuff.

 

I used if for a full grow and it was awesome, JUST BE CAREFULL IT MAKES HUGE BUDS, well mine came out the size of 2 litre coke bottles wow I thought, till I realise the fucking centre was all mouldy,

You dont want the buds too big, or they will go mouldy. in my experiance.

this never happened to me outside thou.

watch big-buds like that, if you see the leaves of big buds get yellow or brown twisted tips while smaller buds dont, cut em down and check them. Usually mould has just started, any dead leaves sticking out of a bud when others are healthy on it is a definite sign of evil rot.

 

Also smelling them will tell you.

 

As for outside, must be where your at, I've seen many plants absolutely fucked by mould after rain. If it rains within the 3-4 week till harvest on a frosty indica I would rip that thing out a few hours after it rained.

 

Mould is a huge problem in many outdoor plants I seen on the north coast, both the greyer and browner kinds.

Anyone done research on the specific species of budrot which show up in weed indoors in oz? Just wondering... Maybe it may help us to fight em more specifically...

So many different replies about Monster Bud and PK 13-14 has brought me to just one conclusion. Save-a-da-money and just keep on using grow and bloom nutes.

Too bloody confusing for me. I bet at the end of it all, none of you would be able to tell the difference as to who used what to grow their goodies. After all, it is a weed and everyone seems to get nicely stoned on whatever they use to grow the crop.

I think the only winners in this race are the manufacturers of the product.

I think you're spot on with that last comment.

 

I have used PK 13/14 for a few years now. When I was young and stupid.... 59 years old..... I would overdose everything, thinking it would give me something special. Now that I have matured a bit, (63) I do just as it says on the bottle, and am very pleased with the results. I found that using it contrary to the instructions would cause premature ripening, and loss of finished yeild weight!!!

I use it three weeks from harvest for one week only. I flush my girls for the last few days and don't have any metalic taste probs like some others I know.

 

You don't want to use it when buds are in full bloom growth IMO, as this just seems to burn off the pistels and slow down the grow. Used as I have said, is when the plant has slowed growth and the calyxes are starting to swell. The pk really gives the swell a boost and firms up the flowers well

 

Just my opinion, but I won't be changing what I do because it has worked for me. :P

Try not using cana pk13/14 at all and use "Kabloom" instead from week 5 onward it's a better product for bud swelling, just have a look at the amount of available p and K in Kabloom compared to canna pk.

Why not just forget the bud additives and grow some good buds the simple way. Veg nutes in veg, bloom nutes in bloom, flush for the last two weeks with fresh ph adjusted water. If you can't grow good buds that way, then you won't get better results no matter what ya add...

well maybe I'll just add 2 buckets of potash and superphosphate to my crop and see what huge buds I get.
