question about how best to use PK13-14

The instructions say to use it once about four weeks before harvest, but I have read that some use it continiously until flush after about 3 weeks into flower.

 

also, I'm much more concerned with quality than yield and some say while bud additives add to yield they detract from potency.

 

comments from anyone who has used PK13-14 appreciated...

first time I used it I burnt my plants badly. But I cant say I read the instructions to well. But if you go by the instructions (0.5ml or so for bubblers) instead of 1-2ml at water change time it works, I dunno if it works, seems no different to me. maybe 0.5 is not enough.

This is how it was explained to me..pk 13/14 is a heavy duty potash...which is far more potent than normal potash and must be flushed out of your plats for at least a week before you pull up.

 

Some say it is to be used in conjunction with your flowering nutes, some say instead of your flowering nutes and some say you have to reduce your flowering nutes and make up the excess with cnn pk 13/14

 

Too much potash will burn your plants FAST

 

This is from another use of this site...all mistakes are my own...not his

 

Either use it from the 4-6 week or 5-7 week of flowering

Nutes levels depend on how strong you have them Im assuming normal strength

 

Weeks 1-4 5ml a + b nute

weeks 4-6 5ml a + b + 1ml pk 13/14

weeks 7-8 3-4 ml a + b

then nothing...flush flush flush

 

Weeks 1-5 5ml a + b nute

weeks 5-7 5ml a + b + 1ml pk 13/14

weeks 8-9 3-4 ml a + b

then nothing...flush flush flush

 

Basically you will have a lot of residue left u you dont flush which wil affect your taste....

and found it to swell the buds a bit.. but its wasn't anything

fannytastic or anything..

im giving monsta bud a go this time round..

i think im going to b shooting for more organic nute mixes in the future..

its just toohard to tell these days whats in chem nutes..

 

i pushed pk 13-14 into my ressi at about 5th week..

when my buds seemed to b at there peak of production

I' use Monsta bud week 1 to week4. then i give them a blast of PK13-14,with the Dutchmaster Advance bud form--. It should be used once in the Nuts tank for only one [1] week!! .After use PK-- make suse you flush all the salts and Nuts.Week 6 i start to flushusing only Ozi Tonic used in conjuntion with Monster B.its also organic.

MY girls are 40 days in and the buds are already as thick as my arm

You use Canna pk 13-14 only for one week only in week 5. Thats it. no more or less. Make sure your CF does not go over 2.8.

 

As far dose ,use what it says on label. checking CF that it does not go over 2.8.

 

It does not make more buds, but makes existing ones really hard and heavy.

I am thinking about just using PK13-14 for like last few weeks then 1 week flush with either water or ozi tonic.

 

Coz N is ment to degrade THC in the last few weeks of flo isn't it?

 

Blue Berry Bangeg - Do you just give them Ozi Tonic for the last week? And how does it compare with just water?

 

Pipeman - I am pretty sure PK 13:14 is just a extra hit of P and K not really a bud additive like Superbud. You give it to the girls the last few weeks cause that is when they need the extra P and K.

use for only one week ----if you dont you will lose----->read instructions on bottle.

 

If you use more you will over balance the chemical makeup in the nutrient and the plants will take up less nutrients thus less growth and yeild. Another side effect is that the ph will drop really really low like 4.2 over night

 

And flush with fresh water after the week.

 

Most plants like week 5 some like week 6
