This whole chat about chemicals in the hydroponic nutes being carcinogenic and this one does that and another one does something else really makes me laugh.

Hydroponic is a commercial growers dream not mine. Id prefer organic heads anyday - weighs less, tastes better, hits harder and doesnt leave skidmarks in the cone and stem - too bad it takes longer to grow less. :(

Before any hydro grower fires back at this statement... Hydro isnt too bad - it just fucks with nature alot more than organics. You should be talking about Plant Growth Enhancers/etc. You probably laugh because scientists used to say marijuana was mutagenic - have a read about PGEs.

to an extent I kinda agree with you. I find it curious that people would worry about their nutes then happily chuf on a bong all night. but on the other hand, there's no harm in keeping the things you do have control of safer. We can't control the polluted air we breathe, the pesticides and hormones in the food we buy or many other things. but if we can at least keep the chems out of our buds, hey why not. growing is more than just a hobby. It becomes a passion and the centre of your existance as a stoner. so you do tend to become obsessive and do everything to the nth degree, even though it might not be necessary.

Its like the guy who washes and polishes his car every weekend. He doesn't really need to do it, but just gets enjoyment out of taking the best possible care of it. Like stoners want to grow the biggest and best buds and healthiest buds, nevermind that they coat their lungs with carcinogenic tar every day, thats got nothing to do with it. :(

Hey wilderbud...just curious, why would you say using organic nutes take longer and produce less? What the hell are you doing wrong.Using organics or synthetics are both capable of the same results in the same amount of time .It's not the nutes that are responsible in bringing out the full potential of plants it's the grower.Gotta agree with you when you say you get a better tasting and potent product with organic nutes,I live in Surrey BC,the indoor grow capital of the world, and have proved many times to the synthetic growers around here the potentials of organic growing and have even converted a few.
