Hi all, was after some much needed advice. Been growing outside for the last 6 years, but the kids are growing up so I have decided to have a crack at hydro for stealth reasons. Was wondering if individuals experienced in hydro would be willing to suggest me a set up. My criteria is as follows: 1. Would like to keep the whole set up, nutrients, pots, growing medium, tent, lights etc. under $500 2. Happy just to grow 1 at a time (I'm a weekend warrior) 3. Grow space I have is about 1m x 1m x 1.6m 4. Want the set up and ongoing use to be as simple as possible (Was thinking hand watering with a run to waste set up). I'm thinking about buying an Autopot for my next grow so I can go away for a week and not worry about watering does anyone on here use them and how would you rate them

I have a DTW automated system with a 60 litre res. It's all black with just a couple of holes out the top for hoses and the lid is left slightly ajar for the pump cord. No light coming in from what I can tell via those 2 openings. I do however get a slight algae build up on the hoses and pumps. Worried this may become more of a problem. How often do ppl clean their res out? Do you scrub everything every couple of weeks? Do you add a maintenance dose of hydrogen peroxide(good for roots too I heard). Hey team... Just wondering anyone used or is using this kit http://autopot.com.au/kits from my limited research (mad scientist ) it seems to be a sipper, and people using coco, canna terra but it comes with perlite and vermiculite. I want to run a couple of autos and if it goes well, will start a couple fems late in season... Hope all is well team![emoji111]

Here's a taster. This is a DWC Recirculating Aquaponic System. Quite a mouthful. Heard a few stories about timers failing due to heavy startup loads with hps lamps and ballasts. I am getting ready to flip in the coming week and have been running lights 24/7. Got cheap bunnings timers for exhaust fan but don't think it will hold up for the 600watt hps lamp I'll be running. Any suggestions. In short here is a summary of my first attempt at growing . Nute Burn , in to a PH lockout . Lost a plant managed to save one which is slowly getting better now ive moved it out doors . Below is a scanned picture of my leaves the ones i have trimmed for more information about my setup check my grow log this is a seperate post for advice on futre problems . I will upload a photo of my plant on this post to get some opinions of wether or not I can slavage it . Theres a long list of fuck ups I made to long to list . a beginner grower here and Id like some opinions on Carbon Filters, Ionizers etc. Like is one better than the other? (I already have a carbon filter but I think it may be too big for the room it will go in, (10x20 in) is there such a thing as having one too big? ..the room is a converted container (4.8 long 2.4 wide 2.4 high) how about noise reduction? my exhaust is loud! any info would be helpful, thank you!

Hi all, I've been looking all over the net for a reliable answer to this dilemma, so feel free to add to my confusion My set up... - 0.7 x 0.7 x 1.6m tent in a cool to cold garage (outdoor temps) - 300W LED Mars Hydro white series (yeah could do better but it IS finishing an old potted outdoor lady quite nicely right now... plus inexpensive to buy and run) - 80W tube heater - IonMax 681 Dehumidifier (great little unit but has no auto-on for timers, etc.) - Small circulation fan blowing over canopy - Passive intake with a small fan hanging on frame gently pushing tent air through an outlet - Single plant (or two very small plants) setup So far it's easy to maint…
