I'm looking at getting a 1.2 x 0.6m tent. Odd size, but fits my space. I've also pretty much settled on a 300w QB board DIY kit (3x boards) for full cycle growing. Seen advice for both 3K and 4K boards. Any reason I shouldn't use a mix of 3K/4K/3K? I know they don't "blend", but would it still provide some benefits like shorter nod spacing over an all 3K arrangement? Sent from my HTC 2PS6200 using Tapatalk

Thinking of moving my set up which has a 600hps but it is a hotter part of the area. It's an old HPS light with an old ballast a mate gave to me. It hums like a bastard when it turns on. Anyway I read somewhere on this forum that the new "digital" ballasts are cooler. Does this mean the actually outside ballast is cooler( which is what I suspect) and/ or it is cooler inside the tent as well compared to what I assume is my "analogue" ballast? Also would it be quieter when It starts up as well? Thanks for the serious replies.

G’day all, So my 1x1x1.8m tent has had it. Multiple rips that have been sewn back together and a few other small ones so I figure it’s time for a new tent and funds permit it at the moment. I want to go a dash bigger in the tent. Looking at a 1.2x1.2x2m one. I have a 150mm can fan (rs150)with matching filter. Fan is rated at 470m3/hr or about 270cfm. Creates good negative pressure in my 1m tent. I can stand outside the tent in full flower and smell nothing. Wondering if it will still do the job on the bigger tent? I still want no smell and it gets pretty hot down here in Adelaide in summer so I have to keep that in mind. I run a couple of leds in there. …

Hey guys... so my one plant I grow inside is about 2 weeks off harvest. Maybe less..... and you guessed it our real estate has just emailed saying we have an inspection next week. Fantastic timing. Not going to ask to reschedule that is too suspicious. She's a decent sized plant. About 1.1m tall and has 10 fully laiden main colas. I'm not harvesting early. Obviously my plan is to pack down and take plant elsewhere for the two hour window the property manager is due to visit. The trouble I'm having is lights go off from 5am to 5pm so it is going to be daylight.... I'm thinking I am going to seal up the room the tent is in as best I can, go in with a green light and bag her…

Hi everyone, About to commence week six of flower in my first indoor grow and everything's looking good. Was after opinions on the wireless weather stations available at Bunnings to monitor lights out temp and RH in my tent. Basically wanted to know about accuracy, signal strength (tent is in a semi-detached extension of a double brick house) and which ones don't have a backlight on the outdoor sensor. Currently running a 6" axial fan with carbon filter as an exhaust, two cheap 6" clip fans for air movement and an IonMax Ion610 dehumidifier running into my passive intake. Tent is 900mm x 900mm. The dehumidifier is on a timer to only work at night, as tent temps go…

3 Phase power 1 2

Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help. I have a premises that i am growing in that has 3 phase power. I am currently just using the normal power sockets to run my lights, fans etc through but can’t run anymore lights as the total load for the building is at it’s maximum now. I was wondering if somehow switching to using the 3 phase power would let me run more lights? I am guessing that is the case but how do you go about doing that as the 3 phase power points are completely different. Is there an adapter you can buy? And, the most obvious question, can i run a ballast through a 3 phase power point or would it burn it out or destroy it due to the voltage being different? …

I am wondering if changing my timer in 15 minute increments at random times will mess with my plants cycles. Just thinking that these days the power companies may examine power usage for regular patterns. If my light turns off at exactly the same time every day for 2 months is that something they will notice and report to authorities? If I was to change the timer to stop 15 mins earlier for 3-4 days then make it 15 minutes later for a few days would this change in daylight mess with my plants and maybe accidentally induce early flowering? or is it only the massive change from 18hrs to 12 hrs that triggers the plant? Am I being overly paranoid and this is unnecessary?

type in: "meizhi cree" into ebay to see ad. These look like a take on the mars cree 3590 setup but with a smaller cree chip. they look damn tempting for the prices: $150 for the single unit < i think they're around 100w $250 for the double unit Anyone tried these yet? Opinions from just looking at the ebay ad? Thanks.
