which light for a newbie

i have been running the 10k globe for the last 2 weeks

 

and see no magic "extra oil production"

 

im glad i got the 10k light free

 

as i would not waste 170 odd dollars on it.

 

..after talkin to a few growers,

 

the Australian standards is to have a double jacket on the globe for safety reasons

 

the second layer of glass blocks the UV-B light which you need

 

almost false advertising for the 10k light.

Damn that sucks. They get you with the marketing. At least a it was free. May just have to stick with the 3k or 4K light though dependent what your doing.

 

Oh well thanks for the inf at least I know I don’t got to buy one now hahaha

Hlg are working on adding uvb now i believe, might be a game changer

Yeah from the charts in one of the other threads it doesn’t look like they release any UV-A or UV-B currently so will deffz be a game changer

Hmmm, makes you wonder how much a HPS loses with the use of a cooltube.

 

I can't recall any difference in the quality of the buds that were grown with different reflectors.

these would work for extra uvb me thinks, at 12% uvb, i have no idea if this is enough

i have always used a cool tube, got a mate that uses a naked globe, and he consistently outperforms me with quality,

 

i know there will be many different  factors involved in this, think the cooltube might be just one of them.
