Cannabis Science
Endocannabinoids are marijuana-like compounds that are produced by most animals, including all vertebrates. Quite surprisingly, the endocannabinoids system has an all-pervasive role in maintaining homeostasis (biochemical balance). All living creatures suffer from a common biochemical imbalance, we are all aging. Today, in developed countries, most people suffer and die from age-related illnesses including cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, and cancers. Modern science from an abundance of peer-reviewed publications indicates that stimulating the endocannabinoid system benefits all of these conditions. We understand what patients need a…

Effects of Marijuana
I am not that naïve and inconsequent young girl that start to smoking marijuana anymore... I am getting into that stage where the hunger to conceive a child is warning me. I was reading a book from the Foresight Programme, and I am concerned about the effects of Marijuana especially in women: “Marijuana’s impairing cellular effects on DNA can result in incomplete genetic information being transmitted to the offspring”. Dr. Gabriel Nahas Cannabis is four times more dangerous to your health than cigarette smoking. It dumps three times more tar in the lungs and five times more carbon monoxide. The key psychoactive substance in cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – this co…

Need advice for which strain?
Bit of background. Never done any drugs. Will be doing some generic weed soon to see how it is. After which I will most likely be confident enough to grow it. I mainly want it for medicinal purposes. I suffer from depression, anxiety and sleeping problems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_sleep_phase_syndrome). I think it's quite possible that I am depressed and that's why I am anxious and have sleeping problems. It's also possible I have sleeping problems which causes me to be anxious and depressed. So I want something that will give me the relaxation to leave the house and to sleep at night. But I also want to be buzzed and happy as well and be able to do things…

Need info on marijuana and effects on Severe Depression
Hi all my partner has severe and prolonged depression that is not being adequately controlled by conventional pharmaceutical medication. She has been hospitalised because of it for the last 2 months and next week they are beginning shock treatment (Electro-convulsive Therapy), this is kind of the last resort where medication has failed. I am wondering if anyone here has any information on using marijuana as a treatment for severe depression. I'd be particularly interested in links to reputable studies... if there are any, but if you have anecdotal evidence of it helping you or someone you know I'd also be interested in hearing about your experiences. I smoke it f…

Cannabis and Swine Flu
I developed the flu yesterday, and judging from the stiff neck, nausea and diarrhea im assuming it's the piggy kind. So far, a few bong hits a day have reduced the nausea, cleared the neck pain and reduced the coughing. If you're someone who mixes tobacco, however, don't do it while sick. I tried this morning and I nearly hacked and coughed myself to death. Thank you ganja, once more
