Well with spring around the corner my mind is in guerrilla mode. I have some 100litre grow bags I'm thinking to set up in the bush in individual wire cages. I'm planning to dig a small level hole of around 200mm deep and line with black builders plastic. Than fill bottom of grow bag with around 300mm of perlite cover with shade cloth than top the bag up with an organic soil mix of coco, compost, scoria, neem kelp and malted barley powder and of course mulch in with sugar cane. The idea being that the perlite, only the perlite sits in the water hole and wicks the moisture up to the root system and soil above. The shade cloth prevents the soil getting into the water below …

Starting 6th week since switch to 12/12. First grow ever and used only organic soil mix and nutrients. Had light burn issues right at the beginning, and during flowering as well. I am happy so far, I hope I don't fuck up all the way. Started with 2 feminized seeds and one turned out to be macho. Anyways... Going by the photos, any ideas how much dry weight it will yield? 6th week, shouldn't the pistils still be all white? thanks!

if your making compost teas with air stones it's possible to have living organisms in the stones which are hard to clean & you leave a cleaning product residue that takes lots of time & water to remove a air lift brewer or as Tim Wilson aka Microbe man calls them , the microbulator , is a better option in more ways than one they are much easier to clean , you can pull all the bits apart to do so , but by Tim Wilson's testing it seems a better air / environment for multiplying life than using air stones , the PVC pipe bits , bungee cord & hose , cost round $45 for 50mm , i used a PVC end cap & drilled a hole for the hose in that prob need to drop…

Just a quick question on Neem guys and girls. Seems Neem cake is out of stock everywhere. Have found Neem pellets however. Ok to mix into a soil as it is or better to add some water and break them down a bit first? http://www.nobugs.com.au/neem-cake-pellets-2-kgs/ Thanks

Hi all:) Just wondering what crawlies everyone likes to collect for their no-tills. I have access to some compost rich in all things crawling and would appreciate any suggestions. I've read that roly polies and springtails are pretty good. Thanks heaps

Hey Ladies and Gents Looking to test out those new hydrotrays autopots looking to just chuck them out in the backyard with some vegetables in them most likely tomato or chilli plants, does anyone know of any of the big garden stores sell ok potting mix that will work? willing to drive to any that are within a reasonable distance to get a couple pre packaged bags of soil... would go down the path of investing in a bag of perlite, hydro nutrients, meters and all that shit but at this point i only want to see if these autopots work they are not the standard 2 pot 1 tray autopots they are the single black tray pots looking to leave them out in the back yard with very minima…

Can anyone here point me in the right direction to making my own flowering nutrients? I’ve seen the unconventional farmers posts on fermenting your own, but want to know if anyone has had any success making up their own batch and what did you use? I’d like to properly go down this path and best way to start for me is trial and error, tho I really don’t want to kill a flowering plant. Ie. skip the error bit if possible
