http://australianhempparty.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/votesign3-150x150.jpgThe Help End Marijuana Prohibition (HEMP) Party has nominated a father and daughter, James and Tayla Moylan, to be their Senate Candidates in Western Australia. Mr Moylan, outlined the approach the HEMP Party is taking to the re-run of the WA Poll. “We did quite well at the Federal Election and WA polled highest percentage of all the six states. We averaged about 0.7% across all States and more importantly managed to get our message out to a huge number of interested Aussies.” “The HEMP Party Campaign will be supported by all our branches across Australia. We will focus on the areas where all…

http://australianhempparty.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/parallel-weed.jpgHEMP PARTY SAYS AUSTRALIA IS IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE ON POT! “It’s ironic that alcohols ugly side hits the headlines just after blind Barry O’Farrell says even dying people will not be allowed to try Cannabis, throwing out his Governments special committee recommendations in one single dumb press release,” says Michael Balderstone, HEMP Party President and WA Senate candidate. “So dumb and impossibly stupid it looked like it was written by Big Pharma. Would someone please tell Barry, Pharmaceuticals kill more people in Australia now than car accidents!” “How come in Australia we are so far behin…

I am looking for other like minded people who really would be interested in starting a Cannabis Activism Group. As I have stated in a couple of other posts I can be contacted at endthedrugwar@hotmail.com or twitter @NoMoreDrugWarAu best option to contact me is my email address as I have several twitter accounts which is ridiculously difficult to maintain. What I am NOT interested in doing is walking down the street puffing away on a big fat spliff singing anti prohibition songs in protest of the repressive drug laws. I believe that would not be well received by the Australian public who are mostly brainwashed through years of Drug War Propaganda. I feel the focus shou…

Thursday, 16 January 2014 – A successful, world-first study led by the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC) at UNSW has revealed a break-through for dependent cannabis users, employing a cannabis-based medication, Sativex (nabiximols), that has been shown to provide significant relief from withdrawal symptoms. “One in ten people who try cannabis go on to become dependent. As cannabis use increases around the world and more people seek treatment to help them quit, it is surprising there is no approved medication to alleviate symptoms of withdrawal. The success of this study offers considerable hope for those struggling to get through a cannabis withd…

The Beyond Prohibition Foundation is an independent and non-profit association, advocating for a sensible and transparant marijuana policy. They believe that it's important to cooperate with eachother as much as possible to achieve that goal one day. Attitudes regarding marijuana have changed significantly over the past few years. More and more countries are starting to either legalize cannabis (for both medical and recreational purposes) or decriminalize the posession of cannabis. The rules and lawes concerning cannabis are easing. However, in many countries, cannabis is still a forbidden substance and only one country has fully legalized marijuana; Uruguay.

Hi everyone, I realised recently that there are not any real facebook groups supporting changes to current cannabis laws in Australia. At least none that I could find. Although polls have shown that most Australians are generally supportive of less prohibitive laws, it seems like most cannabis users themselves are not very vocal in their politics. For such a large underground community I would like to see us represented with a larger and more unified voice in the public arena. I created the facebook group in the hope of spreading more accurate and scientifically valid information about cannabis to counteract the ridiculous amount of propaganda most people encounter…

http://australianhempparty.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/pepe-mujica.jpg José “Pepe” Mujica, the President of Uruguay, will go down in history as a great leader. Uruguay is the first among all of the civilised countries of the United Nations to fully opt out of the International Cannabis Madness. Time for some widespread celebration folks. The particular thing that sets José apart is that he seems to be a politician who has managed to make the transition into incumbency without also instantly becoming a drug law hypocrite. He seems to be saying the same things after his election as he promised before his elevation! (Hmmmm? Very odd indeed.) And while this consistency i…

Man charged over hydroponic drug cultivation - Cabramatta Tuesday, 08 October 2013 11:46:06 PM A man will appear in court tomorrow after being charged with the enhanced indoor cultivation of prohibited drugs and allegedly attaching live electrical wires to metal door handles in a Cabramatta drug house. About 11am today (Tuesday 8 October 2013), officers from the Wetherill Park and Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squads along with local police executed a search warrant at a home in Gowrie Place at Cabramatta. The officers searched the unoccupied premises allegedly locating one room with 95 cannabis plants growing in pots. Two other rooms showed a sophisticated hydroponi…

Now that the Canadianl government has opened up the production of medical marijuana to the free market, scores of entrepreneurs have begun the race to vie for a piece of the billion-dollar pie in this new commercial industry. "This is a very rare moment when you start to look at the beginning of a brand new market space," said Anton Mattadeen, chief strategy officer of MediJean, a British Columbia-based company that has recently received a research and development licence under the new regime. Starting April 1, 2014, the only legal source to obtain medical marijuana in Canada will be through producers approved by Health Canada. Businesses, especially medium-sized on…

I'm interested in what people think would happen if cannabis became legal, either fully or partially. Partially, as in for medicinal purposes. Would it become an agricultural commodity ? On face value it would be a positive step. But just curious as to what everyone thinks about issues such as supply, genetics and price. Might it be so regulated that people revert back to illegal growing to bypass red tape. A lot of people might not grow their own and still purchase from others. Would that be from you and me, or a large scale operation. If everyone had a crack, there may be a LOT of male plants doing there thing. Right next door to you. I am a farmer and am i…

The Greens believe in decriminalisation of individual drug use.. Tony and Kev do not.. Still have to vote for Kev though HOW TO VOTE AGAINST TONY ABBOTT HOW TO VOTE AGAINST TONY ABBOTT A handy step-by-step guide It is an inevitability, no matter how unfortunate, that in two weeks time either Tony Abbott or Kevin Rudd will be our new Prime Minister. Oh dear. It’s not really much of a choice but the only thing we can do is try to minimise the damage. So here’s a few suggestions and like minded despair before we hurtle into a deeply conservative and sexist future. If you’re curious abou…
