Hey guys, Although its early I'm thinking about where I'm gunna grow. I have found some places in some bush but Im not sure if they will get enough sun. The area of bush is sort of a rainforest cos its near a creek so there are ferns growing etc. I've read that mj should get atleast 5 hrs of direct sunlight a day and they wouldn't get that now in winter because of a lower sun and I'm not sure about summer. A few pics would probably help which ill get in a while. Would I probably just get a lackluster lanky plant and should I find somewhere new or not worry too much n put some beans in the dirt when the times right.

hi guys, i have 8 little baby's 6 inches in rockwool slabs being irrigated every hour for 5 minutes with canna vega, i'm not irrigating at the 6 hour lights off cycle, there are three 400 watt mh lights, i have only put them in the rockwool slabs 5 days ago. the little babys seem to be growing fine. the problem is there is green algea on the top of the rockwool and in the nutrient solution, it seems to be getting worse. the ph is 6.8 and the room isnt too humid, there's a circulating fan and a fan bringing in fresh air is there any way to get rid of it? i have covered the nutrients as i heard photo synthesis can cause this, what is the best medium to cover the rockwool …

Just wanted to check with everyone what week I should add the PK 13-14 to the res? Is it week 4 from the beginning of flower? I'm flowering for 9 weeks (I'm assuming) and flushing for 10 days at the end. Jimbo

Went to recalibrate my pH truncheon and found it won't lock onto the lower 4 value when calibrating Tried replacing the contact ring, although it wasn't badly discoloured yet and only a few months since it was changed out, but didn't work still? Brought some new battery's as the one's in it now are around 12 months old. Hope that fixes the problem. Will find out soon when the lights come back on...

Has anyone else tried CCrops Aminozym or Bud Boost? My mate is raving about it. Aminozym is a root and grow stimulator, that's used until the end of the second week of bloom. The Bud Boost is a bloom and resin stimulator that's used from the third week of bloom until crop is finished. The babies really took off on this stuff, and the yield and flavour was the best I've ever seen. The best thing is that it only cost him $55 bucks for a 1Litre bottle, and you only have to use 1ml to 1Litre of water, and its 100% organic. And its from Holland. Cheers

I know I'll sound like some old hippy, but is anyone growing in soil with totally organic nutes anymore? There used to be some legends on overgrow before the rapture, but what about here? I haven't really been on the forums for a long while, but it's the one thing that seems to have dropped off. Tom...are you still around? I had a feeling you might have been into it. Don't get me wrong, I love the bio setup, but having just gotten half way through a tomato grow in soil (Black Russians) and tasting them makes me wonder about doing an organic soil grow for old times sake. Or is that old timers sake? So if anyone's doing it, hows it going for ya? Cheers, and hi to the old t…

I have been doing a bit of reading about mineral deficiencies and water types and their relation to the type of Nutrient you choose. Sometimes you come across a discussion that mentions hard and soft water so I thought I would post this to help anyone wondering how to tell what their water is. When you test your water straight out of the tap you can tell whether it is hard or soft giving you the info to tailor your nute choice to your supply and make everything work just like it should while using the minimal adjustors aka-PH Down etc. Hard water is water that has a high mineral content (water with a low mineral content is known as soft water). This content usually …

ive only ever grown one way - germinate a seed in rockwool, stick that in a pot full of clay pebbles, then to my water reservoir i add A + B veg or flower nutes, budlink (silica), then adjust the pH, and voila it's happy for a week until i rechange the water. But im contemplating getting rid of the clay pebbles and nutes and going the organic route. So what mediums are the go? and what additional nutrients if any are needed? Please respond as if i was an idiot.
