I have planted seeds in a great area in my garden, the soil was mixed with cow and sheep manure beforehand, there is some shade during the day, I found my other plants were not coping in the direct sun all day. I have water trickling out the hose 24 hours, and sprinklers every second day, its very hot and dry in WA at the moment. I used to just throw seeds in the garden in South Africa and yes, the "weeds"grew all over the show, Im hoping this will work here. The seedlings are about 5cm high now, will take photos soon, any advice to help me on my way will be highly appreciated

Some of my plants and not the others, have purple running into the base of the leaflettes but not into the leaves, here's some pics to explain, I would have thought that this is a genetic trait of this particular strain however it's bagseed and I have no idea what it is

Hey peoples, I need some advice - I've germed three little ones from seed, raised them under flouros until they were a week old and potted them in a seed raising soil mix plus coir in large pots. They're about three weeks old now and were looking great up until a couple of days ago. I've been feeding with Miracle Gro Seafeed 3 in 1 at 1/3 strength every third watering (watering every 2nd or 3rd day depending on how dry the soil is.) They've been hardening off outside in partial sunlight for two weeks, and were due to go out into the garden next week, but the bottom leaves have gone yellow and are starting to burn at the tips - I've been reading up, and it looks like nu…

I've got one girl that's about 2 1/2 months old in a pot outside, she's about 3' tall and seems to be going OK but lately I've noticed the leaves are turning yellow from the bottom up and the leaf stems are purplish. Is this an NPK problem? I thought the new potting mix should have been ok for a few months? Cheers

(this information is based off study, trail and error over the last 2 weeks. The information may be debatable to some and i am happy to be corrected, this is just what has worked for me, and considering the lack of information on this i decided to post my results) NOTE: If the seeds are pale or white and or crush between your fingers... dont bother with this, or at all for that matter. Ok, So you cant get seeds for whatever reason (like me) but you happen to have a few dusty old bag seeds you found in 1993 wedged in the back of your drawer (like me - 1993 = hyperbole btw, maybe they're 4yrs old). You chuck em in to germinate with all the right specs of light/heat &a…

Hi all So i have moved to the warm city from the cold country i am in stage 1 germinating my seeds and i smell an odor of mold on the tissue the seeds are wrapped in. They are on 1 square plate with another on top and are kept in a place that stays at a constant temp. before hand had 12 super skunk seeds from 2001 that sprouted faster then i imagined and died the 1 day i forgot to rehydrate them i only saved 1 maybe 2 and transferred them to my growing medium and decided to get some generic seeds and use the same plate. day 2 and there is a smell of mold . The seeds are still a little firm but brake under pressure and none have sprouted What should i do? Do i …

Ok, you more experience blokes and bloke-ess'e might be able to help me out here. Had 2 plants down both growing away nicely (hydro) and growth was really good. I had to rearrange my grow room (ie remove a wall from it for more room) And at the same time i did a nutes change. nothing different, I follow the same process and cf and ph levels every time. Now this particular time, Ive neglected to open my drain return tap in my tank so as a result they were sitting in nutrient for prob close on 48 hours before we realised. Just thought they were really thirsty and sucking up lots of water when we did our daily check until we saw the water on the floor. Thats when the alarm b…

Poor girls...im more than sad over this, so much darn work to see them start to burn and im still unsure of whats the problem. Lets start from 4 days ago when they were perfectly healthy. I woke up to there being water on the floor, the pots had over flowed instead of draining and recircing. So we know that all the pipes are clogged with roots and nothing is draining... The poor girls sat in 1.8 EC water for 2 days, 1.2 EC for 1 day and are now down at 0.8 EC -- But the roots are totally submerged in water/clay balls.... So --- I went out and bought an air pump, being that the root system is so huge on the plants i could only manage to get an air stone down ha…

OK i know i should be able to fix this, have seen before n just went away, but some advice is needed. This problem first started on the bigger fan leaves but now is occuring all over top 2 bottom on all my plants Flower AND Veg. All have been flushed with ph.5.8-6.0 and measured run off was 5.9-6.1 so not 2 bad We will just worry bout flower for the moment so lets say im feeding Cana Flora A&B no other additives at a ppm of 500-800 There in 50 liter pots so not root bound. After i did all that and no change occured i dosed em with a hit of epsoms but still goin. Ok so here the pic n thanks again boys First leaf at start, bit worse than the last stage .…

never really had this problem b4....but lately i am getting alot of rain, my plants are in pots and unable to be moved to a dry location, but with all this rain, even with the aid of stones for drainage my plants are getting too much water and looking rather worse for wear. what is my best plan of action when it comes to this? waiting till the sun comes back?

Hi all, I've never grown in summer before and hence I'm having trouble with heat. Setup: I have a 1m x 1m, bucket hydro setup with 120L nutrient tank & 600W HPS. I'm seeing this rust coloured growth appearing in the tank (it looks a lot like dirt sitting on the bottom of the tank). The first time I noticed it, I flushed the system and cleaned with bleach, then replaced everything. No luck - it just reappeared after another few weeks. I'm about to give up until it cools down, but having no smoke for the next few months is not pleasant thought. My pH is normal (5.9-6.1) and nutrient levels are a bit lower than normal (10EC), but the temps in the tank have reache…
