ok my last grow i had pythium BAD! and fungus knats too. before my latest grow i bleached everything. and i let off a mortein bomb in the room. and i have been using MICROBIAL at 1ml per litre. i also reduced my watering times substantially. 6 weeks into veg they are they best ive ever seen them. no pythium and very healthy scrog BUT i just noticed today i have scarid fly. its back. is it a big problem? ive been told that the larvae eat the roots which leads to pythium. so im doing the usual spray with mortein, drench with microbial. asuming that the microbial and reduced watering means i dont get pythium. are the scarid fly's actually that bad? im trying to …

I have my first indoor garden. Just 4 girls I adopted (not sure of strain could be white Russian, Super Skunk, Bubbleberry or something completely different) form an over crowded foster home attic. They are between 2 sets of 40w florescent bulbs (160w). They are at apx 70F/21C/294K I have spider mites. I have noticed the spots for a while but thought it might be a fert. (or lack of problem) Just noticed the webbing on Dec. 30. Sprayed with a tobacco/hot pepper/soap mix that night. Was planning on starting the 12/12 flower cycle at midnight of the new year and did. Today Jan 1st I removed all the webbing I saw after misting with water. Bought some 0.025%…

Hi y’all. I’ve got little ants living in my hand watered clay ball pot. I can see little queen ants there as well. They might be eating dead roots and stuff which is okay maybe, but they have no place in my bedroom right? I’m treating the surface with neem oil at the moment to discourage them, but am curious as to whether they could have any beneficial properties? What do you think, should I keep them? I also wonder if they crawl into the buds and get stuck on the resin and die there and stay to produce a harsh smoke!? ::

Hi guys, Got 2 problems with the bubbies (1) My plants are in flower and the top is growing ever closer to the lamp which is as high as it will go and I dont know what to do as it will go closer to the top of the gantry and I dont want to burn the heads. Should I bend the top over and tie it down.. (2) I put it in flower about 20 days ago 26/1 and I see little tiny flies are swarming around the plant, especially the base. I have given the area a general spray but don't want to be ingesting flyspray. They are grown in soil and coco, not a hydro set up.. N

If I take my three plants still vegging (about 3 weeks) out of soil, rinse them throughly with water to wash off spidermite eggs and gnats from roots as well, then repot them in clay balls and continue to hand water from top and run to waste also spray room with flea bomb and let to air for a bit will this work? can i grow in clay balls only and hand watering? will this prevent future outbrekas of pests -- any other suggestions PLEASE what should i add to the to the clayballs to prevent future outbreaks..? neem oil? treestump

Hi people, I was checking in on my clones for my next grow and noticed that they are getting less light now and has put them on the edge of flowering. . I started taking them into the flowering room with the 400w HPS. I then take them ouside for a feed and set them up to sun till the sunset then up to the room indoors under the light. . Nitrogen is the most mobile element. Plants suffering from this deficiency are distinct in their pattern of yellowing. Yellowing - it's purpleish colour. Or is it purple before yellowing ? Yellowing starts on the older leaves and progresses upward, leavin…

Hi guys. the story goes, i was givin a plant that had been neglected, i dont know how old she is or anything about her, but ive been lookin after her a bit and she seems to be gettin alot more foliage on her, unfortunatly some of her leaves are gowing yellow, or dying off just at the tip of the leaf and curling up. Some of her leaves are fine thou, nice and green. She has her tounges and i can see little brown hairs commin from her privates. How do i fix the yellowing and dying of the leaves, and wat should i give her to help the buds come along? This pic was takn when i first got it.

ok im just trying to confirm what is the best product in peoples experience to 1. prevent pythium and scarid fly i have been using microbial for about 4 months and have gone through heaps of it. its expensive at $130 for 5 lts. i found it helped with the pythium and killed the infestation of scarid i had in one crop. but didnt stop the bastards coming back in the next one! so i was thinking about trying oxyplus (about $80 for 5lts). i thought it would give me the double impact of a system steriliser and oxygenation. not sure if it prevents scarid fly though? tom said use dm guardian which i can get for $50 for 5lts. so that seems best bang for my buck. i also …

major problem! must have turned off the timer on the feedng pump two days ago. had a beautiful big scrog going in veg stage which was going to go 12/12 today. went to check and in the current hot summer temps the rockwool dried out and they have wilted badly! havent taken a pic but its like they were hung out to dry for two days, some of the top leaves are so dry they crumble, ALL leaves on the plant have wilted big time. the roots underneath the rockwool are still ok though. i gave em a massive watering straight away and doubled my watering times also turned off half the lights so that they dont stress any more. my questions are: 1. will they survive. im thinking n…

I have a problem with one (only 1) of my outdoor plants and can't pin down exactly what the cause is. Synmptoms :- 1) Leaves lack green colour (poss N deficiency) 2) New growth not slowed at all. No signs of damage to new growth. 3) Nicoretic spots beginning on inner leaf veins (but not restricted to). damage progresses from the middle of the plant to relatively new growth area 2/3 way up. 4) affected area is the main (mid) stem Other info :- 1) Plant is 31/2 foot tall 2) 20Lt pot 3) veging oudoors 4) Nutes/feed - dynamic lifter & fish Emulsion (liquid) Medium :- compost (general porpose) Not the best compost I must say…

I have spider mites indoors, had the spots for a while for a few weeks now, just started seeing the webbing. I am/was just about to start flowering. Should I remove the highly dammaged leaves so the plant will not waste energy trying to repair or salvage them?

guys i have an infestation of fungus knats (along with pythium ) in 2 of 3 G-rooms. all the roots were brown and slimy. the leaves were dying (yellow, brown, brittle). i have been flushing the grodan slabs (in crop boxes) with 5ml per liter of microbial and also adding 2ml per litre of microbial to the nutrient solution for the past 2 weeks. i have also sprayed the underside of the plants where the scarid fly have been observed - firstly with a lot of confidor, then 3 days later with with mortein house and garden. after 2 weeks if you look under the crop boxes there are some very thick, white and healthy roots sticking out amongs the dead roots. also there is…
