Have seen alot of different opinions when it comes to this, Have heard that indica should be in short and wide pots and sativa should be in tall and deep pots... At the moment with my second grow i am hitting my space limit because i am using wider shallow pots, i would like to move to the taller deeper pots to allow more room, but also thought it would help with growth anyway.. Im thinking of trying those typical buckets you get from bu***ngs that are 20L or so, usually come in white but have seen some black ones too. Opinions?

My NL is only 16 days old, Ive read that you can clone very early into the process but the only node points i could use on the lower part of the plants are very small, i didn't want to cut a massive part of the top to clone, Its like 2" Long as shown in the photo. Normal clone method used, New razor blade, slice cutting off, cut on 45 angle, scrape some of the stem and split in middle, put into clonex for 30 seconds or so and then into a little foam cube straight into the propagator tray, under a 55w cfl setup in my clone tent with some other cuttings. Is it to small to kick off? This is the actual plant - This is the small cutting i took -

What grows the best? I've grown flood an drain before an it worked really well. But I'm looking at the BATO pots an the whole set up looks quite cheap. $180 for 4 pots, pump stand an all attachments as well as growing medium seems pretty good If the bato system grows as well as flood an drain I think I would go for that. Any advice either way would be appreciated

Hey all, been looking at the grow room/tent and was considering a bit of an upgrade to the lighting. Thinking of putting 400w of digital lighting supplemented by leds. Kessil leds are what I am looking at procuring, but as they are an expensive unit, approx. $220 each, not many are willing to stock them. Has/is anyone out there using these leds, and are they up to all the hype I've been hearing about them. Do the spectrums they come in make as much of a difference as they would like us to believe?

Hi everyone. I'm about 3 weeks into my first ever hydro grow. I'm still very inexperienced in growing in general, so I'd greatly appreciate any criticism that the gurus here would be kind enough to offer. Please take a look at my photos and descriptions below and let me know if you can see any avenues for improvement or potential problems. Thank you all for your time! Strains are: 1 x White Rhino feminised, 2 x Super Kush regular. All began germination on 11/10/2013. All popped about 2-3 days after commencing germination. Thus, they're all about 3 weeks old right now. First: this is the current state of the grow. I've got a 250W MH lamp in a 125mm x 400mm cooltube. T…

Just wanted to get peoples opinion on this strain, According to the bonza seeds website you can get up to 50oz of one plant in this strain... To get this type of yield would probably need 100% perfect conditions from seedling upto harvest though right? Has anyone grown this strain and gotten really high yields even close to this? A mate of mine gets between 16-20oz per plant but he runs 4 x 1000 watt hps lamps over 4 plants and has a proper house aircon for cooling along with all the other frute has spent over 10k in his initial setup from buying the tent / lamps / aircons / fans / ducting etc etc and he never buys online and only uses seeds from his "shitty bush plant…

So I've decided to do a little pictorial report on the growth of some plants under a 300w CFL (veg) and 600w HPS (flower). Hopefully the gardener won't have a cat arse trophy this time and wipe out the whole tent. On the 14th of Feb, 16 gurls were potted up into cheap 72c 9.2Lt Bunnings buckets. Each bucket has roughly 1.5Lt of clay balls at the bottom and the medium mix is roughly 40/60 coco/perlite. They were put in to veg 18/6 under a 300w CFL for 4 weeks. On the 14th of March, they were put into flower 12/12 under a 600w HPS. The two plants with bamboo stakes are the two Trainwrecks you can see in the first picture, 2nd from the left one behind the other. F…

Hey guys, I live in Far North QLD, and last year, just before summer and the wet season, I planted my first marijuana crop. Just two plants, to try it out, see if they survived, to learn the techniques and hopefully have some sort of harvest at the end. I started out with 2 seeds, THEY BOTH TURNED INTO FEMALES! Anyway, I picked out of a bag of weed that had been grown by someone in the bush, and not taken care of. Hence why the bag of weed was more like a bag of off-cabbage. This "cabbage" is what drove me to grow in the first place. I picked two darker seeds with some light brown spots and stripes of black. I then proceeded to germinate them using cooled boiled water a…

for those that are in to & there seems to be a few on here So what about something non toxic Tiresias Mist from Dr T Remedies So fem seed makers what cha reckon few youtube vids to have a look at http://www.drtsremedies.net/product/tiresias-mist-4-oz-bottle-get-one-1-oz-bottle-for-free/ Tiresias Mist® is a new product from Dr. T’s Remedies. This product, used in conjunction with the directions, allows growers to produce feminized seeds. Tiresias Mist® is safe, effective, and a reliable alternative to other methods that have disappointing results. One bottle provides enough solution for one branch that will produce female pollen. That pollen is then deli…

Someone who isn't me (SWIM) has 6 plants in a 3mx6mx2m (lxwxh) space so two rows of 3 plants each, temperature is fully controlled, good air flow and carbon filters. On the roof is 3 600w hps bulbs, I advised swim to pull off all the bottom leaves, bud nodes that couldn't get full light to enhance the buds that can. Swim had a very innovative idea to put 2 uv lights (sorry can't remember the wattage) in the middle of the plants at pot level to allow the lower buds full light to increase yield. Has anyone tried this, or something similar before and if so what results did you experience?

Hi guys, Some people are always looking to reduce their "stretch" period of flower. Extra light, light spectrum, lowered N levels etc. and sometimes even pgrs... Just stumbled upon this article the other night... thought it may add good food for thought/discussion on the viability of this technique And the full article which you should also read... http://extension.umass.edu/floriculture/fact-sheets/controlling-plant-height-without-chemicals A cold blast for 2hr upon lights on....? What are your thoughts...? Peace!

Unfortunatly i left my plants veg alittle to long & have had to lollypop them 12 days into buding. Was this too late? If you're going to lollypop a plant for buding, how soon should it be done before you switch it to bud. Any info would be great... Thanks
