This came up in another topic but thought I might share separately. It may be a kind of old wives tale but I plant my seeds by the moon and also try and harvest by it. I plant and try and harvest during the first quarter as for the reasons explained in the link. I'm a outdoors grower but I'm assuming it would also apply to hydroponics. It may be a myth but if it has any advantage I'm willing to give it a try. http://www.sgaonline.org.au/moon-planting/ Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

There are so many recommendations on different drying methods out there about drying and curing your product I was wondering what is the best method for maintaining quality and aroma. Haven't grown in a while but my method seemed to work. Mine was based on my own theories and not based on science just personal experience. So here is how I used to go about it. When I was nearing time to harvest I would not feed my plants in the last two to three weeks just water. When they were ready I would stop watering completely and wait for the plant to show signs of stress and then pull the whole plant roots and all, wash the remaining dirt from the roots and hang them upside down in…

I have had ants eating my young seedlings. I thought I was doing the right thing and gave them a light spray with pyrethium but when I checked them later they looked a little burnt. I read the label on it and low down in the directions it says don't use on seedlings. Do you think they'll be fine and how do I get rid of the ants? First two are the ones the ants ate and the others are the ones that look burnt.

I'm setting up a couple of pots in an autopot setup. I'm too tight to buy the actual kit so just bought the autopot smart valve and setting up the rest myself. I can't grow it indoors so am going to give it a crack outdoors. I'm using coco coir and perlite as the medium at 70-30 mix. Just wondering who else have used this set-up and any tips for a newbie in this growing technique? I have some A and B veg nutrients that my father gave me so will be buying some more once I get going. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Hi, New to the forum. Haven't grown in a while but have built a greenhouse out of my old chook pen and am hoping to get a decent grown in this season. I have a question about potassium. I used to use condy's crystals (potassium permanganate) on my girls when they were flowering which made a noticeable difference. Question is am I better off using potash to get the potassium my girls require or is condy's crystals suffice or both? Any feedback is appreciated. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Never done it before and have only ever grown plants from seed. When you clone a plant does the cutting grow to the full size of the mother plant or is it a smaller version. May sound like a stupid question but the only cuttings I've done have been in the garden of the non cannabis varieties. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

I am doing a grow in a greenhouse I made from what used to be a chook pen. I'm growing in the ground to take advantage of all the chicken manure that has built up plus I've added compost, blood and bone and gypsum to try and break up the clumps. Question is should I use drippers placed at the base of the plants for watering or use microsprays? The drippers would be good as it's targeted and uses very little water where as sprays would be good as the foliage would be able to take in moisture as well. The downside of the sprays is I'm thinking it may promote disease if the plant is always getting wet, it uses more water and is not as targeted. Greenhouse pictured. Pos…

Gday all, Before I start big cuddos to PurpleADL and their Cooler posts in Growing Techniques. Anywho, there is mountains of information on this forum for beginners and the more advanced. But what I can’t seem to find is, no judgment, easy, cheap, diy alternatives for growing. The cheapest kits can be found on eBay for around $500+ but I mean, for the standard getting started beginner this is one heck of an investment. So my question to the community is, what is the cheapest/easiest grow build you have ever accomplished? There shall be no judgment here, only creative love <3

Hi guys, new to the forum and to growing. I think I'm on the home stretch with my first now. I have noticed some of the leaves have begun to turn yellow but a lot of reading has led me to believe that it may not be a big concern after all. I'm not too sure but I imagine I'm about 3 weeks or so from harvest. Can I get some advice on what I'm doing right or what I might be doing wrong? I don't know much of this stuff so apologies if this isn't enough info to go by. Happy to answer any questions though. Thanks guys. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
