Hi all, Planning on moving outdoors for the first time. Figure in the next few wks some indoor veggers on 18/6 would be good to move outdoors to let them flower, with about 11hrs of daylight currently. I was a bit worried the lengthening days might affect flowering but it seems the max daylight hours locally, even at the dec equinox are maybe 13.5hrs max. So I can't imagine the amount of increasing light over the next couple of months will make them revert to veg. My question is about plans to do some outdoor growing in the summer. With only maybe 13.5 hrs of daylight (in this region) max in summer, how do plants get to any decent size vegging before they start flow…

This has probably been asked 1000 times already but I've never had this problem outdoors. This baby is 2 - 3 weeks old, and also have others younger that seem to be showing this, I've just chucked on some dolomite lime so hoping that will work, But has anybody else had this? I haven't checked my ph as of yet, Waiting on a new meter. A

Hi everyone, longtime lurker here to ask the experts a question regarding soil. I am growing outdoors for the first time with a good mate out in country vic. We have a nice spot and are busy digging some big holes (1m x 1m x 600mm deep). Our plants will hopefully have an ideal environment as they are close to my friends place and will get constant love and attention, as well as a lot of sunshine. We have bought a cubic meter of soil and mixed a bunch of goodies into it, but have realised that it won’t be nearly enough now that we have gone with the big holes. The natural soil profile in the holes themselves (which we have dug out -said soil being now divided into cl…

Hi All, Three years ago, I was give a few weed seeds by chance from a friend. I am not a big smoker but I decided to plant the seeds and watch it grow. Only 1 out of the 10 seeds grew, but it was worth it. It was a great learning experience and I had a lot of fun. It ended up being a nice big plant, you can see the results here: https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/topic/71279-my-first-grow-any-tips/ The second and third years were no good. In the second year, I only had two seeds and they didn't survive the first week - not enough sun I reckon. The third year I was given a small plant that grew into a male, so disappointing. This year, someone from thi…

Okay so I'm soon to throw some seedlings outside.. Now.. Where I'm growing is a natural rainforest. . Lots of hardwood and ferns ECT (Well.. where I am growing is a little bit dryer). Now.. The soil is fairly sandy.. Would I be better off digging a hole and filling it with sheep shit and perlite, blood n bone, vermiculite, lime. Or using a high grade potting mix with a bit of perlite??... Cheers. Pope "Sow the seed Grow the weed KOG"

I'm planning to plant a few autos to pull some Xmas buds. Anyone recommend a good auto to try? I will be planting them in mid/late September temps are well hot enough here that time of year and they will receive full sun. Gonna plant straight into 20litre pots of a good organic mix got one of itchys recipes brewing haha. Thanks in advance☀️

Hi, guys, first-time poster here. I am brand new to growing marijuana and was wondering if I could get a little advice on nutrient schedules and what people are doing. I am located in Melbourne and will be growing a White Widow and an AK 47, one of each plant. Both seeds are feminized and I will be growing them outside. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Hi all!! I've gotten some great advice for feminized seeds that I want to plant outside but I have a whole bunch of autos that I want to play with too. I know they don't get too big and they do best not being transplanted but other than that, I don't really know how to care for these fast growers... Can someone provide me with a link or two if it's ok? And I've seen people say that as they autoflower and aren't light dependant, how would they go being planted in winter? Cheers!!

Hi All, I thought Id share what seems to be building up to a successful grow. Early in the season I was losing the battle to a bunch of F#$%ing greedy little wallaroos. Those bastards never even thanked nor shared with me. I'm not sure whether this had been done before but to outwit the wallaroos I came up with the idea of hanging Aldi bags at a level that the wallaroos could not get to. So far I have had no issues thus I`d thought I`d spread the love in case anyone else would like to try. The attached picture is a Zambeza seeds Big Bud XXL auto in a soli filled Aldi bag tied to a tree and fed Chron`s Super Sauce at week 8 (4 weeks to go). I have liked this me…

How much light? 1 2

Hi everyone. Well, I've since found out that you can use a fluoro light to help your sprouts to get growing before moving them outside but how many hours a day should the light be on them? I would have thought 24hrs would be too much because when they go out into natural light, they won't get that amount and maybe try to flower, as tiny and immature as they are. I'm also considering once they germinate, putting them into seedling pots in a plastic propagator and letting them enjoy filtered natural light and light cycle. (Half my yard is under cover so they won't get to hot or dry out) and then toughening them up gradually before planting them properly outdoors. What are…

Ok, no I haven't popped them yet but I can't find an answer to this. Once I get the seeds to open and then use the damp paper towel method to get the tap root to start growing, I'll put my seeds into a cup or small pot. But when do I start introducing them to light - natural light? I've read three books today, watched YouTube videos and I can't even find an answer from Jorge Cervantes... Everyone assumes that I've got an HID light to put them under for a couple of weeks. I don't. Can I put them on the window sill so they get light but not direct light? I think Jorge said you can use a fluoro light to help stimulate growth and I'll be putting a heat pad under them to help…
