Hey Guys Didn't really update my grow diary, but my two northern lights clones are going insanely well. I trained and pruned them a fair bit, so each plant has like 7-8 main colas, with a pretty even canopy. I've been trimming most of the lower branches and buds throughout flowering, but it keeps sprouting new branches like crazy. Anyway I'm removed most of the lower flowers, so the the plant concentrates on the main colas. However, there are still a lot of lower buds that don't get as much light, but I don't want to get rid of them. I was thinking of doing a multi-stage harvest, so harvest the tops when they are ready, then the lower ones. However, the problem I…

Thankfully this was the only dodgy jar I had and I was able to save every last bud in it but if you have to store your buds outside learn from my mistake and test your jars first. Fully submerging them in water for a minute is a good start but don't fully trust anything you wouldn't happily keep at the bottom of a pool for over a month. Trust me when I say you don't want to experience the overwhelming flood of emotions when you see a sight like this so give each jar that minute of attention before using them

What are people's opinions on whether to trim/manicure wet or dry? I've tried both now and found it much easier to trim the sugar leaves after the buds have dried sufficiently to start curing. However, last time I did this in direct sunlight and I could see lots of "stuff" flying about and I'm guessing it was the precious trichomes?? The eyes aren't what they were 10 years ago and I hadn't noticed this problem until I was trimming in the bright light with some magnifying glasses on!

This little lady is the last of my crop for this season and is currently just over 8 weeks into flower. This little girl has been racing along and appears to have matured some 3 weeks earlier than the others. it seems to have taken a long time to get going but once it did it seemed to outpace my other plants. I checked trichomes today and I have definite "clusters" of amber with the majority being milky in color. When examining it for other signs of maturity it appears to me to be ready. The reason I am not sure as its Outdoor plant finished in 8 weeks? This was from a seed from an unknown mother however they were seeds that were "bred" rather than found in a bag(if tha…

Hi I am making this guide for anyone who is interested in water curing. I only water cure, have been doing so for years now and thought I would share my method which after trying many others is the best . So first up why water cure........ If you grow outdoors like me Im sure you have run into numerous problems over time. inc. bugs, budrot, airy leafy buds and then after all that going through it all again in the drying curing stage which sometimes in our lovely australian weather goes way too fast or too slow and hello mould!!. Well I got sick of all b/shit and wanted potent awsome buds with no bugs or garbage and found out about water curing like many I was worried A) i…

Hi all, I harvested my Kiwi seeds Hindu Kush at 10 weeks, dried it for 7 days and it's now been curing for 1 week and it is the lamest weed I've ever smoked. It's been grown in coco and given nutes as expected. It had mainly cloudy trics with some clear and amber. I realise that a long cure will increase its potency but is it normal for weed to have low potency when first harvested? Thanks

OK, so I'm not really sure I've nailed this when to harvest thing as I've been a little disappointed with the potency of plants harvested to date. This is Mandala Seeds 8 Miles High outdoors in soil. Started flowering around 10th Feb so has been flowering for approx 8 weeks. Breeder's description states flowering time of 9 weeks or early to mid October. Most of the pistils are brown and, a few amber trichs from what I can make out from the digital USB microscope pics. Should I harvest now or give it more? Having an operation on my [non-dominant] hand on Tuesday so manicuring will be difficult after that. I'm looking for a nice sativa domin…

Hi guys, Just though I would ask some opinions. I currently have 8 sativas in the bush that look to be about ready in two weeks time. I was initially considering drying them outdoors in a tent but we traditionally have a lot of rain over Easter here and I don't want to risk mould. I am considering harvesting one plant next week and hanging it in a wardrobe with a small isolating fan on it. This will be a test run to gauge the smell as I live in a unit and obviously don't want the neighbors to suspect anything. My question to you guys is what can you do to hide the smell of drying pot? I plan on sealing the wardrobe to make it as airtight as possible, put gaffer tape…

Here we go...first few amber trichomes visible today on the calyx and sugar leaves, just into day 77 flowering. So here's the plan...I am using Terra Flores and it recommends no fertilizer for the last 1.5 to 2 weeks before harvest but I don't want to starve my girl completely so I will compromise and intend to use water and molasses for only the last 5-7 days. I would hope to being seeing no more than about 10% amber trichomes (closer to the 5% is what I am after) by this stage by mid to late next week. Should be ready? for harvest in no more than 14 days...I think. Anyway that's the plan so will see how we go... Some pics...

Has anyone tried the deleafing process 3-4 days before you chop down the plant. Can anyone think of any reason why this could be bad for the plant

what options are there when bringing a crop home to dry i not possible, and to make it worse, is its a cold wet state, mold would be the worse enemy, would ya just hang full plants in trees, buy some tents maybe, could you have a week bleach, water solution, to kill mold then rinse in a water bath to remove the bleach any help thoughts would be great

Hey all, Just wondering if any of you store your buds long-term, say 6 months to a year? If so, what methods/containers do you use? I've heard fridges, freezers, tupperware, mason jars etc... and has anyone used, experimented or heard any advice about storing buds with a dessicant sachet or similar in the jar to eat up any oxygen etc (I guess erring on the side of caution?)

Hi guys just wanting to get some feedback on my first grow and any tips I could pick up on judging by the look of it so far..... My plan is to grow myself one great plant to supply just myself and my Mrs (whom suffers terribly from Carpel Tunnel) we only like natural "Bush" smoke and am trying to keep it that way however where i live its already down to 7 Degrees some nights so im planning on growing it indoors under a light. so far...... started March 1st, seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours then onto a plate with a napkin under a mug in a warm part of the house.... day 5 put the best ones (24 of them) into a long pot of seedling growth soil with some perli…
