I'm still trying to work out which NPK levels i want to aim for (with limited access to nutrients) Anyway here's a list i've put together so far ... i'm specifically looking at hydroponic nutrients, not soil, although some of these may be better suited for soil or whatever im not 100% sure On the left is the "reduced" NPK where I reduce the lowest value to 1 (if all values are >1) to make comparisons easier. The true/labeled NPK is in brackets on the right after the product name. In no particular order. Reduced NPK: Product (listed NPK): ---------------- ---------------------- 3 - 1 - 2 CNS17 Grow 1 - 1 - 1.5 CNS17 Bloom (2-2-3) 1 …

Hi all. So I've been scouring heaps of posts here about outdoor soil to grow in and there seems to be a number of people who recommend Searles 5 in 1 (of you can find it). Well, I think I did. (See my attached pic) I'm guessing you mix this stuff into your soil or potting mix? And as I'll be growing in pots, how do I know how much to use and do I mix it all through the potting mix or just through the top few centimeters? Sorry for asking such newbie questions but I've never done outdoor before. Cheers.

Hi everyone. My mate just got himself a plug that tells you how many watts a item or items are using and tested his equipment. His fans were on par or just over by a few watts which was good but he tested his two 400 watts hps and they were both pulling between 970 - 980 watts at the wall?? I was like that's not correct man somethings wrong there and suggested he upgraded to some new magnetic ballasts or go digital because that's way to much being pulled for a 400 watt in my opinion. Anyone have any ideas why they might be pulling this much? the lights are working fine and he has done a few runs.

Howdy Folks, I am trying to think of a method of planting seeds that would suit Hydroponics, I am using the clay balls and was not wanting to use jiffy pots as i would rather keep the dirt out of the system. I have used rockwool previously but am not that happy with them as they tend to hold too much water when in the balls. I was thinking maybe i might try some shredded tissues in a paper cup and when they have grown a bit turn it upside down and hopefully end up with a paper plug that the roots should grow out through ok. I have started the seeds in paper towels at the moment but will soon need to move them to somewhere more stable. Any suggestions? Cheers Z

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. This is my first ever post here and I'm attempting my first outdoor in pots. (Waiting for my seeds to arrive and of course, September). I live in South Australia, if that helps. I'm also a little paranoid and an overthinker, which is why I'm reaching out right now. All I want to do is grow in a couple of BIG pots outdoors. I have great directional light from the sun so that's not a problem but I'm really confused about the growing medium in pots. I was thinking of once I got my seeds to 'pop' then to put them straight into the pots as I don't want to shock them from repotting. Is that going to be a problem? I was planning on using …

Old timers tip ... An old italian tomato farmer told me if you are not sure when to plant your seed outdoor after the last frosts in your area ......the best indicator is nature ......and this goes worldwide ....and after years of observation he was spot on........ Wait till you see your first blow fly......blow fly eggs hatch in the ground. ...and they are exactly the perfect temperate for seed germination . The flies eggs will not hatch till the soil reaches 17 degrees....animals are not the only host[emoji8] And this country isn't short of flies http://www.flyboss.com.au/susceptibility/blowfly-biology.php Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Hey guys, First time grower here, have been lurking the forums for a while. Outdoors grow in pot plants, in a green house. So I planted 6 white widow x big bud seeds in some tiny little pots, and put them under a light my mate uses (don't know what type) for the first 24 hours to help germinate them, then left them outside with a little bit of water every 2nd day to germinate them. However the past 4-5 days there has been one day of sun and the rest rain. I've just put the little pots in a greenhouse outside in a new location that will get a lot more sun, but the plants haven't grown out of the soil yet. I planted last Tuesday, and its Sunday now so its been 5-6 day…

Hi Guys, Been lurking for a while and just got a order of 22 or so SSS and some extras b4 hand that I thought I would practice with before possibly ruining my beautiful stash. These 2 are Fem Black Berry OG from Emerald Triangle, both popped easy; one went into a coco pot after being soaked for a bit in a shot glass, then watered in with GH Lucas on 30th June. The Other is in a peat pod obviously but is looking a bit small planted on 11th July. They are on a heat mat with some other unrelated things as u can see, because its quite cold outside. Light is a 130w 6400k CFL ebay special on 18/hr day. Also have a 250W HPS but its a bit warm I think at this stage as well as a…
