General Cultivation Q&A

Hey Guys Looking to start my first grow soon and wanting to set up an Rdwc for 2 plants. Was just wondering what nutrients others use? I'm thinking about use the General Hydroponics Flora range. Is this a good choice and is it available off the shelf in Australian Stores?

a beginner grower here and Id like some opinions on Carbon Filters, Ionizers etc. Like is one better than the other? (I already have a carbon filter but I think it may be too big for the room it will go in, (10x20 in) is there such a thing as having one too big? ..the room is a converted container (4.8 long 2.4 wide 2.4 high) how about noise reduction? my exhaust is loud! any info would be helpful, thank you!

My 00 seeds b/gum auto, I call her hubba, Is showing signs of flowering. She is 28 days in and apparently has a time of 60-65 days seed to harvest. My questions are- 1. Should I be changing from my veg nute to a bloom nutrient now? 2. Do I need to flush veg nute out before changing. Appreciate any input. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

any y'all tried this gear? my first impressions were that it prematurely finished flowering resulting in lower yields, however my laziness with ph'ing and using vinegar was the culprit along with some mg lockout-anyhow dialled in the ph and mg issues and have used this stuff along with cal-mag and 'wholly shit' never seen early flowering like it!! yet to see how the rest goes but i think its gonna be impressive. Im almost thinking PGR but nothing on label. reckon rhey are utilizing cytokines i think? can increase rate of cell division apparently along with heaps of other good shit apparently in there. cheers jj

Ok so decided to get some pk 13/14 to try and get a bit more yield. How and when is the best way to use it? i know you add during flower that's about it. Do you add it in WITH your current nutrient feed or only feed it that? currently feeding with Canna Bio Flores (http://www.canna.com.au/bio-flores) + Amgrow Nitrosol (http://www.amgrow.com.au/product/nitrosol-liquid-blood-bone-concentrate/)

Hey guys, spent the last of my budget on a completely wrong light for my set up so a friend offered me this for free - https://www.hydroexperts.com.au/Red-Compact-Fluorescent-CFL-Flower-Kit-150W-2700K-10200LM I have done a fair bit of reading online but still unsure due to all the mixed opinions if it is safe to grow with only a red cfl. Has anyone gotten decent results? it is only for a small stealth grow 3x4 ft. Cheers

Just read that it is safe to feed seedlings 1 3rd of the strength of your nutrients. That sound right? Just germinated my white rhino and have some flora micro,grow and bloom left over to use on this grow

Hi All, I live in rural far NQ, am too scared to order seeds online and am in no ‘smoker circles’. If I find a couple out of old bags and got them going, would it be worth my time? Or do I need tried and tested ones... I was reading that bag seed can be useless and now I’m in information overload
