Just found an article from the Sydney Morning Herald from 2011, I have not found any updates to the legislation since 2011

https://www.smh.com.au/national/tough-new-cannabis-laws-for-wa-20110717-1hjq2.html

Reminds me of "The evil weed" mentality

I think it's a shame that Nimbin has been a meca for so many wannabe professional cannabis activists over the years who have unfortunately yes been the pointy end of activism in Australia.

They have been the ones the gov has been talking to as representatives and the voice for Australia's Cannabis Community.

And is it any surprise we have the laws we do now when all they have been asking for is anti-hyro bs laws but allow Nimbin to legally sell 'safe' bush weed and promoting companies like Mullaways medical cannabis who put submissions to the gov asking for no home grown and a monopoly licence for themselves.

The pharmaceutical industry must be pissing themselves laughing at how easily it has all been handed to them here.

When activism is a profession nothing ends well for the little people.

Is great town IMO if you avoid those wankers though and just want to live an 'alternative life style'.

Hallelujah :)

The way I read that WA seems pretty strict in comparison to most states

WA can thank their previous Premier's party for fucking it up over there. To my understanding you could grow two plants outdoors without getting in too much shit. That was until Barnett & Co got into power and made sweeping changes..

Conservative Cocksuckers for ya, aye pedro. ;)

That said, Labor's Wayne Goss & co got into power in QLD years ago and done the same fuckin' thing.

Barnett was a corrupt tnuc. Him and Buswell, fucking corrupt.

Did the rest of Australia here about a sitting member of parliament who went to a personal wedding using his Comm Car. Whilst there he drank between 2-5 bottles of wine then drove home.

He left 6 blocks of destruction on his way home causing $20k+ to the government issued car.

This tnuc didn’t even loose his licence.

Yea totally different rules for them folks, bleed the tax payers dry, what a joke. We could easily get rid of 3/4 of the bludgers and probably get a lot more achieved, what really pisses me of is the ridiculous money and perks they get after they retire, hell they only need to hold their job ( if you could call it a job ) for 2 years to get a pension for life. Grrrr

It is ridiculous but I think you'll find it's 2 terms and not 2yrs, slight difference

But when Barnaby retires he doesn't get a pension based on his position now or his position at the time he retires, but on the highest position he has ever held, so that's a pension at deputy PM rates. Nice perks if you can get 'em
