I start at 180, then go to 190, and then sometimes go to 200 but by then it's pretty much dead. It's best not to go too high with the temp, especially if you want to make canna oil with the remains. (If you aren't doing that you are missing out - Waste not want not!)

There ya go, you learn something new every day, can't say I've seen them packed that way before.

 

I usually fill up the bowl up just below the heat resistant plastic band, and lightly pack it down with the glass stoker..
