Hi guys, Similar to the previous topic, I have yellowing and/or burning on some of the lower leaves on my hermie (since it's my first grow I'm treating it as if its the real deal, just for experience). It's outdoors in a big enough pot, full sun all day. I water it every day and feed it full strength manutec bloom-booster every 2nd or 3rd day. I was wondering if this is too often or not enough (the plant is about 3ft tall). I'm not sure if the symptoms I'm seeing (see pics) are caused by nute deficiency or overload (burn). How can you tell the diff between deficiency and burn? I know that yellowing of the leaves is a N deficiency (isn't it?), but don't really have much id…

I'd like to thank everyone here for their help with my first grow. I got 80gm/s of bud from 5 plants, which I know isn't great, but I know I'll do better next time with the experience I gained from my first grow. I took some clones from my fav plant, and am in the process of cleaning everything and getting the rootlings into the flood & drain system. Now that I've `cut my teeth', and invested in HID lights, digital PH & EC meters, etc etc etc I'd like to try a known strain. I'd love some suggestions on strain's and sources from others. Thank you again for help everyone, & again, if I can be of any assistance with electrical advice (except stealing powe… Last reply by gunjaponic,

Myself and my best mate have been growing together since the start of this batch, and have come along an interesting plant, its like a bonsai tree ! its only about 6 - 8 inches tall, but is already developing preflowers, and has been outdoors all its life, which is about 10 -12 weeks! Anyone have any idea why, or what strain it may be? I know there are differences between grow times of different strains, but this is plain weired! here is a photo *And i will post again after this with a photo of its sister, my baby who has been growing for the exact same amount of time in the same enclosure, weired. Greetings, being new to hydro growing, i was wondering if somebody could answer a question. Which is, i have noticed in a lot of photos of hydro grow rooms there appears to be some sort of silver foil tube going in between the plants. What is this? Last reply by gultom,

Hi all, I'm going out tomorrow with $50 to get some stuff for my soil. I was thinking along the lines of mushroom compost or potting mix. Please give me some suggestions on what I should get. My soil is a rich black loamy soil, it has lots of brackern ferns in it so I'm not sure if it is acidic or not. Your suggestions will be much appreciated. Peace out, Marty Last reply by fossil,

I know that newspaper gives off a fair bit of c02 when it breaks down, has anyone used it as mulch or other? interested to know if there is enough co2 produced to make a difference outdoors? i know some growers stick to the older forests for this reason, just wonderin if the newspaper would be any good??? So you've worked hard and grown the sickest crop ever! Luckily you cloned the girls before (or short after) they went into 12/12 so you can do it all again. Or did you? A lot of people have problems keeping their stock alive. Heat, fungus, flies and spiders to name the biggies tend to find the weak clones easy prey. Where is a healthy plant can overcome a lot of stress clones need it easy. Well you could race out and buy a cloning bin or some cloning wax. The first one keeps the humidity high so the plants don't dehydrate easily. The Wax slows leaf transpiration to a similar affect. But why? Remember house wive's are always swapping plant cuttings? They just place the pla… Last reply by italian_gardener,

Here's a few new pics of my OG just taken today, the plants havent been looked at for nearly 5 days, hence the dead leaf and scruffy apearance, all cleaned up now, hoping for a harvest in a couple of weeks at a rough guess, I've got a few seeded buds on 1 plant from the stressed branch that had male flowers, but most of it appears ok, I'll try and make some higher quality pics next time. after the seeds have germinated in paper towel can you put the sprouted seed straight into pertlie/vermicule? I've usually done it straight in rockwool cubes but want to know if I can do it directly into the medium. Cheers Geek Last reply by Tom,
