hi all. just found an interesting article on Oxine to treat your nute solution in hydroponic reservoir. very very interesting. Oxine Oxine is a multipurpose liquid disinfectant which is many times more powerful in eliminating micro organisms than common chlorine based materials or hydrogen peroxide. The beauty of this product is that it is a very powerful oxidiser yet it leaves no harmful by-products behind. When Oxine (a patented stabilised Sodium Chlorite solution) is activated with citric acid it forms a stock solution liquid which emits Chlorine Dioxide gas (ClO2) – a very powerful Oxidising agent. (Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) derived from Oxine is not to be co…

Title may seem a little odd, but my seedlings have nutrient burn which I'm sure is due to feeding it too much aloe vera. The fan leaves on the third node and below are dried up and the other fan leaves attatched to the 3 above are doing fine (6 total). I'm wondering If I could top the third node without any problems? hi all. 2nd indoor grow and first time hydro doing an r-dwc bucket scrog. been looking to upgrade my chiller as the one i've been using over the cooler months isn't cutting the mustard with the warmer weather coming on... summer comes fast but even faster it seems when your growing hydroponically! research so far tells me that the Teco chillers although dear as phuk are the crack for both performance, reliability and power usage. I'm running about 50lts atm in an uninsulated res and can't keep the temps under 21 deg cel the last week or so and the leaves on the colas have been cupping and edges of leaves seem to be a little brittle. not sure what is causing …

So I've dived in and placed my order this morning for some white widow and northern lights from Yantra. Very excited, these will be my first "proper" seed, my first 2 grows were just some nice bush that I got. My question is how do you stop yourself from checking the fucken post box every 2 mins???

Hi all, was after some much needed advice. Been growing outside for the last 6 years, but the kids are growing up so I have decided to have a crack at hydro for stealth reasons. Was wondering if individuals experienced in hydro would be willing to suggest me a set up. My criteria is as follows: 1. Would like to keep the whole set up, nutrients, pots, growing medium, tent, lights etc. under $500 2. Happy just to grow 1 at a time (I'm a weekend warrior) 3. Grow space I have is about 1m x 1m x 1.6m 4. Want the set up and ongoing use to be as simple as possible (Was thinking hand watering with a run to waste set up). A mate has suggested the following: 1. Tent https:/…

I've just started my first grow and I'm very interested in hardcore training as I'm growing in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 metre tent and I want to maximise my yields. I did originally have 4 plants, and I was going to ScrOG them, but one of my seedlings died and I'm down to three plants, so I'm ditching the ScrOG for my first run. Now I've done research on training, and I'm pretty sure at the moment I might just top my plants and do some LST, but I'm interested in what other people do, how they do it, and why they do it. Give me some ideas and knowledge me up so I can maximise my yields! Thanks in advance [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

I'm just gathering supplies for my first grow. I've got a 40x40cmx120cm tent, HLG V2 135 kit, and a Nutrifield 27L DWC Top Feed bucket with pumps etc. All on the way or already here. Also, got 3x Fem Northern Lights. NL was my first proper stone and sounds like a good small grow strain! My questions are three. First, if I build a SCROG net, what height should I make it? I've got 120cm total height. Subtracting 30cm for the pot and around 10cm for the LED panel, leaves around 80cm. I think I need to leave some room from the top of the plants to the panel to avoid light burn, right? 30cm? That would leave about 120 - 30 -10 -30 = 50cm for the plants. Short &…

**I have been trying to contact the company on both their website and Instagram with these questions but got no love. So who better to ask than ozstoners!** So i picked up a 1 ltr set of the green diamond which is supposed to be a coco specific nutrient base. I was a little surprised to see the cal/mag levels stated on the back. While I'm certainly no expert in the matter, I can only base levels off of what I have used extensively, which is canna coco A/B, which I have found to work best in coco, duh? And Lucas formula, which has similar ranges to canna. EDIT: was just comparing bottles again and found that green diamond doesn't have molybdenum in it, again(from a…

COCO. Question, nutrients are locked out from the wrong PH can flushing with too high a PH(7) be a waste of time. This is not some fang dangled thing I am trying. This grow isn't my normal grow and I am hand watering. As such I have to manually pump the run off out with a baster( STFU!) It is only for this grow and it's a farking long story. Anyway the only way I can flush with huge volumes of water is with the garden hose. It then pumped to waste.( and yes what the pump can't get out I hand bast out, I''ll be challenging the Rock to an Arm wrestle soon ). Water is about 7ph The water when I did the hose flush ran very clear but I was working under an LED white light. A…

Hi all, I've been thinking about putting the garden shed to good use and wanted to get some opinions. Would this be too hot/cold to be of any use? Anyone have any past experiences? Also, without starting too much of a debate, LEDs- yes or no? Thanks!
