Cover Crops to Develop Disease Suppressive Soils

Recommended Posts

Interesting, all of what he said is peer reviewed but still a lot of unknowns, as he says himself.

Reckon one could dunk a pot of soil, loaded up with alfalfa mulch into water and follow the potato farm story? create the faculated anaerobes, work on a small scale?

I have some spuds in. Pretty impressed with them. New soil mixed up with extra peat and no scoria.

Disease suppression a function of soil biology he says.

My stuff is pretty good, my soil I mean.

Boking 14 seems to have some comfrey rust, it's in new soil, crimson clover surely giving some reduction effect. Suppose to be the most rust resistant.

Not in my experience. Few issues there and all the inputs are good.

He doesn't seem to mention comfrey at all.

Says about oats was it? oats are oxidating, they seem to be in heaps of green manure mixes.

Good listen, thanks for posting that.
