Well, since it appears my closet isn't going to work as a potential grow setup (see my other thread), I guess i'll bite the bullet and invest in a grow tent and all the gear. Doing all my research though online, all the places that seem to sell good 'beginner kits' that include everything you need to get started (such as tent/lights/fans/timers/ballasts etc) are from america, and therefore not what i'm after. So, can anyone point me in the right direction for where to buy a beginner's grow setup for a fellow Aussie? Not after a big grow tent either if that matters. Just enough for one nice sized plant. Many thanks!

hey guys i have 4 lovely female plants about to start flowering and 5 males i am looking to get seeds but it is not a must. My questions are, how much bud mass will i lose if i keep the males? are the seeds easy to separate from the buds (your favourite ways would be great ) can i take pollen from the males and dust some lower buds to get seeds? are the males essentially useless? any help would be great. peace and thank you!

So after finding this place I thought I would give growing a go... the quality looks great on most of the pics and im jealous as hell So here is my dilemma. I use about a G a day...so I know what I need to harvest. I have read up a little about cfl and HIDs... I will be in an aparatment (my own) so a cupboard is no problem... I was thinking about setting up a 2 plant system with some cfls and to learn the ropes a bit.. after I feel comortable then perhaps one grow a year kind of thing with a more powerful set up My biggest concern is having things go wrong while Im not at home.. mainly a fire...with an HID set up I would prefer to run something that…

Hi everyone, I've read conflicting info about sexual maturity and effect on potency and am just wondering what other peoples' experiences have been. I have a number of plants that were sown early to mid-November and are just coming into flower but still have opposing nodes and I'm wondering about the consequences for potency of the final product. Also, the plants were far too long in 1L rocketpots while I was waiting to sex them, could this be the reason that they have taken so long to reach maturity? They were finally put in the ground between Xmas and New Year but by then were 3 times the size of the rocketpots and well and truly ready for transplanting. This…

So, im kind of in between grows, ie, dont have a place to set up, but am still fossicking around the web for tips and ideas. Now, have always been fascinated by the diverse range of colors well grown cannabis can produce, given the right conditions, but a recent titbit in a high times newsletter has prompted me to share with the community. This applies to hydro only, hence why its in this subby, and I intend on using this method asap. When flushing at the end of the grow, if you really want the colors to come out, chill your water. Its that easy, and an added benefit, the shock can cause increases in resin production. Just curious if anyone else here has tried this method…

http://maximumyield.com/article_sh_db.php?...1&submit=Go Biodynamics: A Spiritual Approach to Agriculture by Evan Folds 2009-02-01 There is a rich lore on moon rhythms and the life of plants, a lore indicating when the farmer or gardener should sow or manure the land. These traditional rules have endured to modern times with some distortion, and to this day remain, for many, a matter of unreflected belief. Biodynamic researchers are not satisfied to either wholly accept or hastily reject folklore, nor are they helped by superstition or sensationalism. Rather, they insist upon careful and verifiable investigation. The majority of people when asked about the connect…

Hiya, Reccomended places to buy seeds from. Tried Bonza x2 and Demon seeds last year with no luck, shipping to QLD. Im probably gonna get a couple Pineapple Chunk, AK47 and another 1 or two feminized strains to grow into winter. Im above brissy, so it doesnt get very cold during winter, rain and major heat are the main problems

This is my first outdoor grow and my best plant got over fertilized. Slight nutrient burn on tips and edges. (not very bad) But it has gone a dark shade of green when it was a lighter green less than a week ago a few days after i put on the fertilizer. I heard too much nitrogen can cause this.. Anyway will it recover?? Because it the middle of summer and not far off flowering stage. WILL THE DARKER LEAVES WORK AS EFFECTIVELY IF THEY STAY DARK GREEN??? OR PRODUCE LESS BUD? \they are in the ground btw and i have been flushing soil... burn isnt getting worse. growth may be slowed not really sure.. HOW much will this effect yeild..

Hi Ozstoners! First time poster, Long timer stoner, I have just made my first DWC Bucket set up with a 54Litre Black Box, 3.75 Net Pots, A Fish tank dual pump and two 6 inch air stones. All went pretty well but I am having trouble with using/chossing the nutes I bought. I could have even just bought wrong stuff altogther, but I'd really appreciated it if anyone could tell me if I can get away with the products I bought or if there is a way I can purchase something that would be suitable for the noob in me. So what I bought, having pretty much a guess at it, was, Dutch Master Grow Part A + B and Dutch Master Gold Flowering (Single Solution) The plants I am wantin…

Hi guys... I would like to just to confirm something... If I start some plants indoor under my "250W CFL" and then transplant them outdoor during summer will they continue to veg or will they go into flower? I've had many mixed answers on this subject... Does anyone do this method aswell? This will allow me grow year round without the need of a big HPS system, as my power, and space allow... And for records sake if anyone knows how much good vegging will I see from a single 250W cfl with a shade? At least 6 nodes? Ive got some autoflowers that I would like to raise indoor for a bit until they are bit more hardier for the outdoor.. as my current outdoor autoflowers I sta…

Hi I am a total newb to trying to grow the plant and had a nice (named variety) indoor pot-plant growing quite some time ago but due to house reno's sent it on holiday to a friends place (who is a total newb as well) where it lives outdoors. Due to distance Ive only seen it once or twice since then. A while back it was very healthy and starting to Flower but slight signs of going dry around the edges of the leaves which I thought was due to the recent strong winds, later the drying was much worse so I gave them some potash after trying to diagnose the problem via cannaversity. Its very worse for wear looking now but neither of us know when its ready to harvest to at l…

Ok so i have 6 sativas growing outdoors. They are starting to show sex. 4 are female, 1 is male and one not sure yet. Any way i want to pollinate a branch of my healthiest female for seeds for next year.. but all my plants are in the same area. and dont want to pollinate them all. How would i go about doing this?? Take cuttings of the male (then get rid of it) to make clones and keep them somewhere where they cant get the females till i get pollen from them? OR can i wait for the balls to become more mature then cut the top off the plant and leave the stem in water? (i read that somewhere) Any advice would be helpful Thanks

Hi all, I have been reading a lot about Co2 enrichment and the benefits it can bring. There are a lot of so called "cheaper" versions to make Co2 like brewing beer, Dry Ice ect. However due to the fact you cant really deliver the Co2 to where you want it. They are cheaper but some what useless. So the only other way is Co2 tanks, which the set cost is a bit expensive however more reliable. The drama I am finding is locating a Co2 retailer that has easy fill or swap and go system for food grade Co2. I want food grade and some of the other Co2 like refrigeration and beer grade Co2 contain Nitrogen. Most food grade suppliers I have found, have a yearly rental of the …
