After doing much reading and research about growing organically, I came across this company - http://www.greenlifesoil.com.au They have all the good stuff like bio char, dried kelp, fish hydrolysate, Diatomaceous Earth, zeolite and all the standard minerals. They also have some nice mixes which I am going to try and blend with perlite and zeolite.

Hey Canna growers, Whats the best alternative to boost? I have gone through a small bottle in no time and i am not prepared to pay gold for this stuff. I found it on ebay a while back for 30 bucks for 250ml and i knew i should have stocked up but i didnt and it seems to have gone back up. Now I cant fully say if it is effective tbh and worth the gold you pay for it but i am now wanting a cheaper alternative. i currently use monsta bud as an additive and have heaps of it so would getting a replacement for boost be too much?

I honestly didn't know a thing about "main-lining" until after I started my plant. I topped at 3rd node and trained the 2 stems to be horizontal with bobby pins into the soil over the stems. I then started to top them and apparently that is what this technique is. From what ive seen im doing alright but ive done it way too early. What do you guys think and also that weird arse leaf with 3/5 yellow with green fleck and 2/5 normal green!? Fucking weird. Also sorry for the phone pics. Thanks, Shauden.

Hey, i've been reading up on different growing methods for other plants and I came across banana peels which are generally used as food for roses. This gave me an idea, after researching banana peels, they are high in potassium and a good bloom booster. Banana peels are buried directly into the soil around the roses, also you can chuck them in the compost pile, i'd like to try make some banana compost when I get time. I also read that banana compost can reduce watering by 20%, lead to better yields and increase the micro-nutrient availability to the plants. Banana peels are apparently also a favourite food for earthworms which are an important factor in my garden. Does …

Hey, how's it going? here's some different methods of drainage in medium Perlite vs Vermiculite - Have you had better results with perlite or vermiculite or both?? The size of the vermiculite particles are larger than the perlite which i've found has given me better drainage over the years, although I recently tried using both to see if having different particle sizes in the medium would make a difference and it's working great at the moment. The plants hold enough water and drains well, i've had to water my plants everyday as the drainage is a bit too good next time i'll be adding more coco to the mix as I only went about 20% coco 40% perlite & vermiculite mix and t…

Hi guys, I found a droplet on one of my buds and was wondering is it possible for resin to form this way. I touched it and it was very thick and oily and smelt amazing, hence the question is it possible. I have never sprayed or misted the ever. See pic after I touched it. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/01/118cc0ff12f7945b19f73e3d40861ce2.jpg

Some may already know, i wont go into details but my plants obtained extensive root damage and the roots had to be cut to aprox 15cm in length. I could of chucked out the plants and started again (infact iv already germinated a few seeds for a better, cleaner fresh start, but all those rotted away in the cocopeat pellets) ... BUT anyway since im now running low on seeds im glad i didnt completley give up on my original plants, and so far they are doing ok. I expected them to be slow growing ofcourse while the roots adjusted, and i gave it about a week before i was sure the plants were even going to survive. Its now been 3 weeks and the plants have been producing new min…

This is the product of an Auto seed I received as a freebie a while back. I'm not familiar with the strain, but the flowers look unlike the bag crap I have been producing in the past. Given so many of the white hairs have turned brown, I am wondering if this is ready to harvest?

Ok about 15 yrs ago I grew some hydros it took me a while to find good clones but when I did they boomed. The only problem I have no idea what they were but they had some distinct properties (I think anyway) The grew about a meter to 1.2 high an grew them over 12 weeks 6-6. I got about 4 oz plus per plant. The buds were big lots over 30 cm an thick an solid biggest weighing an oz an a half. The weirdest thing about them an maybe biggest clue is the shade leaves just had 1 finger. Just 1 really long finger with maybe 2 tiny little ones either side of it. Hopefully the 1 finger is a known strain if not an old one. Oh an I grew them in a big tank with nutrients…

Hey guys i've been reading heaps of information about the removal of fan leaves for pest problems and light issues etc, yesterday i went ahead and removed probably 40% of the the fan leaves on my mother, a good 200 leaves plus. I had to remove some of the leaves due to spidermites and the I kept taking leaves off so the sun light could reach all areas of the plant. My mother has got another 4-5 months of veg left. I went and checked her this morning and heaps of new bud sites are reaching upwards atleast doubled light exposure for her and the under canopy. I'm thinking this can only benefit her as long as she doesn't turn hermy from the stress, she doesn't seemed stressed…
