Hi All, Like Sally R, I'm from the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC), and would like to post an ad for a web-based survey I'm running. I know that some of you were less than impressed by Sally's request and by NCPIC in general, so I apologise in advance if my post also causes offense to anyone. My survey is on self-managed change from problematic cannabis use. This study is based on what appears to be the case that most people who change their cannabis use (by either quitting or cutting down from levels they thought were a problem for them) do so without the help of formal treatments (e.g., GPs, counsellors, psychologists, drug and alcohol se…

1st June 2009 http://www.gladstoneobserver.com.au/story/...owing-cannabis/ © APN News & Media Ltd 2008 ALAN Davidson grew 181 cannabis plants to ease his back pain. That's the reason his solicitor gave to Rockhampton's Supreme Court on Tuesday. Barrister Dave Murray said Davidson didn't have the knowledge or sophistication to pull off a commercial drug operation. The 38-year-old, whose partner and two young children were present in court, pleaded guilty to production and possession of dangerous drugs. Davidson was raided by Gladstone police on September 19, 2007 on his Rosedale property, near Agnes Water. Crown prosecutor Noel Needham said police foun…

Bufo I loved you thread, its brilliant!! So now I'm thinking that poor Sally R who inspired it all needs a little help from us to suggest to her and her super (ill)astute boss the addict-shrink some more useful research topics than the piss-weak one that brought her here (in case you missed it she works for that lovely organisation NCPIC who for only 3 million per year of our beautiful tax dollers get to promote loser vids to make you quit pot and they run research programs into how to get us good folk to part the good ol' green. I'm rambling and I'd rather start rolling, the prize is an amazing drawing of a dope leaf drawn by...oh I don't know maybe an incredibly tal…

Unique THCA/THC extraction and purification Tek.

This was posted at my home site at TY and thought I would share it here. Posted by Pflover 25/6/09 Here is a patent on a very unique THC extraction and purification process that relies on extraction THCacid using an acid/base extraction technique. It's intriguing if nothing else. I've tried a simplified version of the process out and altho not that great of a yield off dried bud it did work and seem to produce a very pure product. The yield made me wonder if it might be more effective with wet bud. Interestingly it yields both a high grade "honey oil" (which the patent actually suggests is tossed) and this purified THCA/THC. Production of .DELTA. 9 tetrahydrocannabi…

http://www.vicpolicenews.com.au/online-chat.html Mr Overland will be live online to take your questions on policing in Victoria on Wednesday, 17 June from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. We can ask him stuff like "I read that you would support legalising or decriminalising drugs if there was evidence to support that it is safer. I am wondering whether you have read the study on the decriminalisation of all drugs in Portugal, showing that this decreases drug use and deaths from drug use." Be polite, we don't wanna turn him against us.

Just read this website....http://www.daca.org.au/cannabis.htm I am trying to find out who funds them. I bet you it's the same as drug free america company - Tobacco and Alcohol. Check out this bit they have on Heroin. I really hope they don't have funding coz this is the most unscientific drivel I've ever heard. http://www.daca.org.au/heroin/trials.htm A heroin trial will not reduce drug deaths nor get addicts drug free because – · Heroin is a dangerous mood altering drug · Giving heroin to addicts will lead to more addicts as trials approve the use of heroin so more people will believe it is OK to try heroin then become addicted · Hero…

Published: 24 Jun 09 16:12 CET http://www.thelocal.de/society/20090624-20173.html A trio of middle-aged Germans produced more than 14 tonnes of marijuana by hiding it in maize fields in locations around the country, a court in Koblenz heard on Wednesday. The men, aged 49, 60 and 64, are charged with growing around 3.5 tonnes of the drug each year from 2004 until 2007, while in 2006 they harvested a bumper crop of four tonnes thanks to perfect weather conditions. The men rented fields in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, hiding their cannabis crop by growing maize around the edges of the fields, a ruse which worked for years. They also imported up t…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
