Organic, pro-biotic and organic growing without bottled nutrients

Recommended Posts

Awesome that you're thinking of going no till... You will love it! Very rewarding, saves money, time and the end product is so awesome

got a couple of no till beds going at the moment, the growth rate is unreal, been not till in them for 3/4 years

planted late this year, try and keep them a bit smaller, went in on the 29th of Nov, still got fairly big, even with the shithouse weather in Dec

Some fast root growth on that clone I had in the up n go box. Moved it into this cup for less than a week then into a bucket and I've taken clones off this clone already! Thanks to the recharge pack I think.

After only 4 weeks. Now have it bucket in bucket sitting on a chux on lava rock in bottom of first bucket, the growth was so quick I have a really long root coming through the inner bucket in no time at all. I wasn't ready yet (still using my flower room and cobs) so I got it under fluros for about another week.

The outer bucket has 1/2 holes for air with one about an inch from bottom to check run off if any. I pulled the edge of the chux through a hole so I can check moisture. Works great so far. Watering from top though. No run off. Just keeping it moist below hardly had to water.post-61528-155136300246_thumb.jpegpost-61528-15513630351_thumb.jpegpost-61528-155136305615_thumb.jpeg

This is the same plant less than 4 weeks ago. Recovered from spider mites now thanks to Californicus. And I've got a clone from it! All while its mother goes into flower in the ground outdoors.

The mother was and still is a struggler so I really didn't think its clone would do so well. So if you have a bad mum don't lose hope. You can recharge or should I say regenerate its clone.post-61528-155136358863_thumb.jpeg

Blumats are the way to go. I've started dividing strawberries to hang in milk jugs along my fence. Without the blumat it would die in this heat because it's out of the way and forgotten while I water all my other pots.

It's starting to grow new leaves now after adding the blumat, use way less water this way as well. By adjusting the height of the water res you adjust the flow rate slightly.

The res does not have to be above the outlet though. Unlike a syphon.

They really are simple but well thought out and designed.post-61528-15513647515_thumb.jpeg

i like the blumats too , never used them even though i own a set , one day i'll get to setting them up

the other option is sub irrigation aka SIP's

you can design your own , maybe using these https://www.waterups.com.au/product/waterup-wicking-cell-pack-12/

or buy one of these https://www.greensmartpots.com.au/

either blumats or sip's will give you a much more even moisture level through out the grow , which is much better for the soil life

& in turn , much healthier for the plant , not to mention the increased size of the plant compared to sip container size
