You would be proving us right not wrong . We are saying that is the only way LED's can ever have a hope of matching HID's. As pedro said using them any other way is just disco lights in reality when compared to HID.

Go to horticulture lighting groups website and take a look. They state hlg 550 is a suitable replacement for 1000w hid. I have not grown with one, but have you grown with a quantum board mongy? Or seen a grow with one?

Yes i've used both single and dbl ended 1000w fixtures before. Its performing just as well if not better with way less heat!!. My friend has a cash crop setup , using dbl ended 1000wtt hps.... even hes really impressed with the results im getting. So impressed hes just ordered 2 of the 600h kits from growerslights.com [emoji16]

Than a single ended unit i should have added. If you want to replace a dbl ended 1000w youd need 6 288 boards... so 2 of the 320w xl kits .

I'm using 2 315w to replace a 600, that gives me 1230w + on me mover, used the 600 to replace one 315 in me 1.2 tent 

using a 130 cfl to replace the 315w in the little tent 

 

mind you the new room is the perfect size for a 1000 or two
