good on ya for giving it a go dogboy.. glad to hear you noticed some extra growth. I reckon 12-1 goes alright although I don't have a whole lot of experience. I'll grow an 18-6 next time and document it for all to see, however, I won't be growing the same strains (sativa indoor is just out of fucking control, also like to smoke something different) and it won't be in the same grow space and I'll use different nutes... so it will not be a scientific experiment, although I think I will be able to gauge a general difference. It will be interesting to see if i get the large % of males that I got with my current 12-1 grow. Although I believe seeds are either male or female (or hermi) I am not sure that lighting has any effect on wether plants go male of female.

 

I have read that plants photosynthesise at night so this may explain the growth burst from extra dark hours.. I have also read that plants can photsynthesise in the light so that would debunk that theory....

Dunno, either it promotes mad growth (when switched to from 18/6) or I've pushed them into flower, or it's a freak concidence.

hey puka theres no point testing the lighting methods unless everything is the same so you would have to use same clones same space same everthing exept th lighting hours so no real point mate .

G'day Stix, nope, haven't done 18/6. I already know that works, there's already lots of proof of that. I wanted to see for myself if 12-1 works, which it does (well, in my experience anyway)
