Need help with nutrients!

Recommended Posts

"Hypothetically"

If someone was to start growing in a cupboard with Sufficient LED lighting kit and space for 3 plants and a ebb and flow system for the nutrients, and rock wool as a growing medium, what would the best mix of nutrients be? (must be able to buy in Australian stores)

Will be doing the usual 6 hours dark for 3 weeks then 12 hours dark for rest of time with the lighting and running the water pump 15 minutes every 3 hours to soak the roots and let drain. I have pretty much every other aspect worked out but wanted someone with experiences opinion on which brands and types of nutrients or additives i should use throughout the growing cycle.

Thanks for the help!

Hi there Lozbong

"Sufficient LED lighting" thats a bit of an oxymoron, LED and Sufficient just don't go together. The intensity of LED lighting is not good this may improve in the future with better technology but presently it ain't worth the hassle. You'd be better off buying a small HPS (250w). You need light intensity to penetrate the plant canopy and High Intensity Discharge (HID) is the only way to go.

As for your nutes do a google on Flairform. It's an Australian company and their shit works. I know cos it's all I use now, after years of experimenting with all sorts of brands. They have a huge range from pH testers, 2part nutes, 1part nutes, additives etc. Have a look

Hope it helps

If you grow with leds you may say well say it is a "Hypothetically" grow.

There is a plethora of nutriments that can be used.

I have used Growth Technology, as well as Nutrifield also Hy Gen, most have their own

personal favourites. Just make sure you use the appropriate nutriments for the medium you will use.
