When to Flush

Hay i need a bit of help Im using an eb n flow system with just dutch master 2 part mix, medium is those round terracota looking balls. Wanting to no how offten i shud flush em. I got one cuboard thats flowerin and one veg. Any help muchly appreciated.

 

Also any reccomendations for additives i shud be useing(mainly flowering), the local hydro man is preety slak at explaining that sort of stuff

Firstly those balls are called hydroton and they are a great medium for growing our favorite plant

 

There are no rules as to when to flush but I do it when I change to flower from vege, and for the last week of flowering at the very least.

 

Flushing is also a necessary thing after you have been overfeeding, had a ph problem. or can notice a salt buildup in your medium.

Thanks for that cheers all the help, another question tho, after the 'flush' do you start off with a weaker soluton of nutes then increase, or full strength straight up.

I just go straight back to the level I was at before the flush

 

but others start at a weaker dose and work their way back up in strength

Flush for 5-10 days before harvesting too,

this will remove any remaining fertilizer in the plants...

we wouldn't want to be smoking fertilizer now would we!
