Best strain for medical use?
Hi All, firstly this is my first post so hello all, this site looks amazing. : ) i was watching a few doco's on the medical use of cannabis and must say it looks like if has huge potential. they did say in the doco that you really want good levels of all 4 active chemicals not just THC which most ppl breed for. so was wondering what strain would be the best to grow? would it be better to grow a more "wild strain" ?? any advice would be great because I'm a newbie. thanks ssdd

theraputic goods administration
I was just having a bit of a look around and found this section in the TGA http://www.tga.gov.a...-guidelines.pdf According to this terminally ill patients are able to use ANYTHING they need. All other patients are able to use whatever they need as long as they get approval from a TGA official.... Maybe we should be talking to the TGA instead of NCPIC..

An anti-cancer info bomb
If any one is interested I found a North Irish version of OZ stoners, who have posted a big kick arse list of articles that support the evidence of cannabinoids fighting cancer. May it help quiet the nay sayers and skeptics. http://www.cannabisni.com/medicinal-cannabis-news/1939-cannabis-the-fight-against-cancer Plus some heavier egghead reading http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/221024.php http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/12/071226004546.htm http://www.jci.org/articles/view/37948 http://www.molecular-cancer.com/content/9/1/196 http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/new_cancer_treatments/104300 http://www.labnews.co.uk/news_archive.php/98…

Up in Smoke !
Well, from the headline..you might consider there is a slight Cheech & Chong motif so it kinda gives away my age. I have been smoking for over 40 years all forms, cones, numbers, dry pipe, pretty much however I could get it basically. As I am now 60 and wish to continue my only one "bad-habit", for some time to come yet (fingers crossed) I started thinking about changing to vaporizers to see if I could alleviate the cough. I , gave up smoking cigs over 25 or so years ago. Lately I have had a bad cough only when smoking, weather vapour or pipe or bong....I was hoping the vapouriser would be something pretty revolutionary but sadly no, and I wasn't impressed when usin…

Using Marijuana to Recover from Anoreixa & Anxiety Disorder
I have been smoking for the past 3 months and it has helped me significantly deal with exercise compulsions and my great fear of gaining weight, it has allowed me to eat normally + continue to gain weight which i have been highly underweight for a long time at such a chronic state of the illness my psychologist says that i could die if i don't eat as my body has been malnourished for so long going up and down in my weight in and out of hospital. Do you agree that it is the lesser of two evils if it helps me stay alive by proper nutrition but i understand it may not be the best for my lungs and brain. But what is worse? Can someone please help me with information on wh…

Depression relief
Hi all. i am new to the site. I have used for years and at 52 years I am using more for depression relief than pure enjoyment, although it is still an enjoyable thing to do. I generally grow my own but am looking at finding specific seeds for depression and wonder if any data has been collected on this. Cheers

Cannabis + Alcohol pain treatment?
Does anyone have experience with using a South American marijuana concoction which is basically pot leaves, stems and left overs soaked in rubbing alcohol for 30 or more days? I have heard of this but never been able to try it out because of the cost of pot and the amount of it that I would have to use to try the experiment. Apparently the end result is supposed to be fantastic for arthritis pain. You are supposed to take a sealable jar and stuff it full of weed left overs (dry stem, leaves, etc.) Then top off with rubbing alcohol, seal the jar and put in the dark for a month or more. After that, drain off the liquid which can be used as a spray-on or rub-on treatm…

I'm so over being chronically ill
I'm having a shaky day today guys. I'm so past being chronically ill. I feel as though this wicked thing is eating me from the inside out. It's causing major stress for the family financially and I'm wracked with guilt over this most days. I feel as though the only alternative is to stop smoking, but the thought of this terrifies me because smoking is the only thing that helps keep me sane. I guess i just needed to off load... Don't get me wrong, I love life...just hate mine right now.
