Terminal Illness Cannabis Scheme - NSW
The NSW Government has developed the Terminal Illness Cannabis Scheme (TICS) to extend compassion to adults with a terminal illness. The scheme provides guidelines for NSW police officers to help them determine the appropriate circumstances in which to use their discretion not to charge adults with terminal illness who use cannabis and/or cannabis products to alleviate their symptoms and carers who assist them. NSW residents who are aged 18 years and over who have a terminal illness are eligible to register for the scheme. To register for the scheme, adults with a terminal illness require a medical practitioner who is registered in Australia and involved in their on…

Medical Marijuanna - Cancer
Hi guys, A while ago i posted a thread seeking advice on medical marijuanna. I am back again, as the frist time around i never placed the order. This was mainly due to nerves about QLD customs, and also relying on somebody else to come through for me, which never happened. So the idea died off temporarily. I am back now, and still seeking similar advice. I've narrowed my search down to two seedbanks: Demon Seeds Attitude Seedbank Bonza Which one of these suppliers have a high success rate shipping to QLD? Can anybody tell me from their experience? Sorry to post another thread related to the same topic, it was awhile ago the other one. I feel as if i'm ready to t…

National marijuana legalisation inches closer with new bill
Medical marijuana would be grown under licence from the federal government under a legalisation plan to be introduced to parliament next week by three MPs from the major parties and Greens. Under the bill, a new regulator separate from the Therapeutic Goods Administration would oversee the growing and supply of medical marijuana and determine the conditions for which it could be prescribed. The bill will be jointly backed by three MPs from a cross-party working group on drug policy: Green Richard Di Natale; Labor's Melissa Parke and Victorian Liberal Sharman Stone. "Let's be grown up about this," said Ms Stone. "We should allow those currently suffering cruel deaths to ha…

Making it go further - supply stress
High everyone, Please excuse me if this isn't the right section to post in. I am such a hopeless newbie, I dunno what I'm doing. I am so thankful to discover that using a bit of weed every day helps my illness immeasurably - heaps more than some of the awful pharmaceuticals doctors have put me on over the years. I've been having a toke for just over a year now and I'm in my late 30s - early 40s. I've been getting stuff from a mate and he's been awesome and stacks helpful - but I worry about leaning on his stock too hard. He never charges me. I'm learning more about growing my own, but my current real estate situation isn't conducive to a grow room - and waiting fo…

Fibromyalgia help
My partner has been suffering from fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition, for many years now. For a while he thought he had it mostly under control but in the last year or so his pain levels have gotten a lot worse and I'm getting very worried about him. He sees a doctor every few months about it but there's only so much that the doctor can do, nothing has really significantly helped, especially considering how expensive non-PBS prescriptions and supplements can be versus how much they actually help him manage his pain, and there is little left that we haven't tried. Recently I've been thinking about trying to get him some marijuana as we've heard of a few people with f…

Chronic Pain Sucks!
Hey there! First off, I am an advocate Medical Marijuana as I have a chronic back pain that just won't go away. I have been dealing with this since I started working as an online worker and I sit more than 8 hours a day. I have been self medicating myself with Indica strain cannabis when I was back in the Philippines my country. I am now here in Gold Coast as a student visa and studying full time and unfortunately I still have to work my ass off but I still refuse to take pill medications for my back pains. Stretching and proper posture is the only thing I can lessen the pain but it is still bothersome. I live in Gold Coast and I want to know if there is a medic…

Medical Marijuana for Cancer treatment, help please.
Hi Guys, I realise that I could probably find most of the info I need without asking... but I am sure some of you will have done the research for me, and as such wanted to save myself some time.... I have researched this a little in the past, thinking I might make some oil for my wife's back pain, and my sick dog.... but never really pursued it with any vigor. One of my best mate's old man has recently been diagnosed with Cancer. Unfortunately it is in a few places throughout his body and he has been given 6-12 months to live. My mate used to smoke with me when we were younger, but now has no contacts... so he gave me a call. his old man is actually the one wh…

Key Issues Surrounding the Debate about Medical Cannabis - Australia
From: The 'Alcohol and Other Drug' industries magazine - "Of Substance" The political hot potato of decriminalising cannabis for certain types of medical use is back in the air, with an increasingly lively debate occurring around Australia. Cannabis was legal for medical use in Australia until the 1950s; now its only legally sanctioned use is for a mouth spray for muscle spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis. While advocates argue that it should be made available to patients with a range of serious and terminal conditions, dissenting voices say the status quo of an almost total ban should remain. In the following group of topic ‘snapshots’, Of Substance looks …

Advice on Best Strains for Treating Depression Sought
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and somewhat new to cannabis (used recreationally and occassionally, many, many years and not since then). I have major depression (with anxiety) which was professionally diagnosed and has been treated with pretty much all of the SSRIs, SNRI, NRIs, MAO inhibiters and tricyclics--and in desperation some of the antipsychotics (even though I have no psychosis), lithium and ECT. I am currently on desvenlafaxine and mirtazapine which I will continue taking even though it is providing only partial relief. Two events have plunged me into a deep than usual melancholic depression that I am only beginning to recover from and return to my basel…
