Hey, I've got an auto star ryder and a "the ultimate" under CFL's in a cabinet. They spent their first 5 weeks or so outside in the rain and I noticed these flies (I think they're "Dolichopodid Flies") on them occasionally & wasn't too concerned. Once I put them in the cabinet the fly population seemed to increase dramatically. The other day I noticed the same white spots appearing which I got on my last grow due to spider mites. I used the same formula (which worked last time) it seems to be killing the flys off faster but the white spots are increasing aswell as some yellow spots and holes. I've read these flies feed on aphids and other pests, could they maybe o…

Found several occurences of this on the trail today after the rain, in places it looked like a trail dribbled by an animal, and then in several spots around the outside of the fence on one of my plots. I have never seen this up there before, and I have been bushwalking up there in all kinds of weather off and on for over 10 years. I only saw it on bare soil, but that doesn't mean it might not be under stuff. Weird thing is that it is in several places around the outside of the fence, but absolutely none inside. I am assuming it is some sort of mould or fungal growth. If anyone has ever seen this before and can let me know if I need to worry about it anywhere nea…

Watering today and noticed a couple funny lookin dead leaves in the main cola of my plant . I pulled the dead looking leaves , felt the bud and it is not mushy and i could only smell the bud no mold. She has about 2.5 weeks left and condition have been pretty good , 50-55% humidity 22-25 degrees . Tho yesterday morning the extractor fan was off for 2 hours during lights off due to a plug coming loose. Here are some pics Cheers Badseed

so went to check on plants today. I noticed a shitload of gnats flying around.. got the chilli spray out to deter them... BUT, on the most developed and stickyest plant thousands of the little pricks are stuck all over the buds... I have tried spraying them to try and get them off, but they appear to be stuck fast.. anyone had this issue before.. How do I get them off? will they fall off when I dry the plant? sorry no pics, but I can not get a decent photo of them... little shits...

Hey all, I am a pretty new grower into my second round, and all has been smooth sailing up until lately. I have found these yellow spots on some leaves to me it looks like something eating it, but not really sure. FYI this is a autoflower, a buddha white dwarf, when it was born it had 3 leaves not the normal 2 and has had some LST done to it. Now i had burnt leaves beofre by misting and then leavingi under lights, but have not done that for some time, Recently i hav been misting in lights off, During lights off, i have a intake fan running a room fan but no extract fan on. I htink this girl has another 2-3-4 weeks to go. So i am almost there but dont want…

G'day Troops. A good friend of mine has a hydro setup on the go and she contacted me today saying she has white fly in her grow. Does anyone have any clues how to make them go away. I would use mozzie coils as I know they are ok early on, but her crop is getting near ready to cut. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :guitar:

Hi, I have been reading a few posts about bugs and have a Q for anyone that has had bug issues. Do you run fongi rid in you res? Also do you spray nem oil on your veging plants?? Over the years I think I have had every bug you could hope to never have, spider, white fly even nematode. After the many battles with them all I found two things that have never failed me. 1: I run fongi rid ALL the time. One sache per 20l. I never not have it running through my system. I use to run ebb, ran it in that now I run dwc and I run it in there. I have put a few people on to it. And the common saying is " if I could snort the stuff I would, best thing ever". And it is how can…

Hey guys. I'm about 4 weeks into flower now and the buds are developing nicely. a couple days ago, I was doing my weekly flush and as I'm draining away the excess water and i notice a little group of white things grouped up. It aint roots, coco or perlite, so I go in for a closer geeze to see tiny little white larva, some of them are just chillin, others are swimmin around a little, and a few when disturbed kinda fly up out of the water before failing and landing back in the water to chill again. For the last yew years I have been using perlite / Clayball in a recirc system, so these kind of pests are foreign to me. After trolling the forums over the years, I was pretty…

Hi, I am just about to invest in some green lacewing in an attempt to annihilate the spider mite and white fly that are killing my plants. Does anyone out there have any idea if they are effective?? I have tried neem oil and kelthane as well as confidor but they just keep coming back and are driving me ABSOLUTELY NUTS!!! We are growing outside and trying my best not to use chemicals but, these little buggers just keep on coming. Any thoughts and or suggestions would be most appreciated. I don't want to waste our money on expensive little bugs (that are apparently native already) but, i feel like i have no other choice. Experience here anyone PLEASE
