Hi all, I am mrbillz (MR. BILL !). I am residing in the USA in the state of OREGON where we have a very active medical marijuana forum called : www.oregongreenfree.com (OGF) and I am "walking" around the world's hempsites to better acquaint myself with the laws of different countries. I have always wanted to see Australia, I even visit Lasseters' Online quite often trying to win a trip to your country. I always thought you folks had a lot more leniant laws there. Perhaps it goes by territories? At any rate, I would like to learn more and please feel free to come to OGF and visit with us.

'Patients on Grass' - in the Government's own backyard! 12:00pm Tuesday 31 August Medical cannabis protest: The Domain - rear of NSW Parlaiment Bob Carr has announced that patients shouldn't grow cannabis in their backyards or buy it on the blackmarket - yet this is the reality for patients with serious illnesses in NSW due to the inaction of the Carr Government. Patients, doctors and supporters will meet in the Government's backyard, the Domain, to ask the Premier when his long-awaited medical trial will start and in what form it will take? Bring a thermos and a rug, snacks available (Brash's green butter cupcakes - see photo). All welcome.

Media Alert 27th May 2004 NT Greens preferences ensure continued Racism and intolerance in Darwin Members of the Network Against Prohibition have expressed their disgust at the allocation of preferences by the NT Greens in this weekends election for Lord Mayor of the Darwin City Council. The Greens have preferenced Australian Labor Party and Country Liberal Party candidates before the Networks candidate, anti-racism campaigner Stuart Highway. The Network Against Prohibition have not made any preference deals and will rely on the voter to make their own mind up about preferences. NAP’s candidate for Lord Mayor, Stuart Highway said “The Greens have shown themsel…

We live in democracy right? Well I think we are expected to believe that we do. Sure we have a better quality of life than most other countries. But do we really live in democracy? I read somewhere (forget where) about a bunch of guys in gaol who were fighting over the TV. Some wanted to watch the footy, and others, a documentary. So they had a vote, something like 7 out of 10 wanted the footy. Problem solved, everyone must now watch the footy. Wrong! One bloke argued that in a true democracy everyone is entitled to their fair share. He said they could watch the footy for 7 out of 10 nights, and 3 nights out of 10 they could watch the documentary. Now that’s my kind of de…

G'Day all from Australia. I am a 24 year old Cannabis consumer and Cataplexy sufferer. (Cataplexy is a complex neurological sieizure/paralysis disorder). I tried the pills the docs. gave me for my neurological problem (seizures, nightmares, tremors, paralysis....nasty stuff) and it didn't help. The only thing I find helps is the NATURAL Cannabis herb....a panacea as far as I am concerned as it can control all these symptoms (as well as the many others that exist today) and takes the place of all the pills, potions that the docs give out....sorry deal out! Myself, I would have to take sleeping pills, stimulants, anti-depressants, analgesics and yes...they're even thinkin…

Well it looks like we finally have someone to give little Johnny a run for his money, and with Mark Latham comes the possibility that 1950's drug policy may be reviewed. Now Latho will never do anything as controversial as mention drug reform in an election campaign ( would scare off too many of the mum and dad/ nan and grandad voters he needs to woo from Howard), but I reckon after he is elected he will want to condsolidate his youth vote and appease some of his more left wing labour team. ..this might mean we get the other states and territories to have the balls to follow ACT and SA's decriminalistion laws. If it's mandated federally, WA, NT, NSW QLD and TAS might fin…

Imagine for one moment that we had two races of people arrive on our shores. One is called the Alcohol Race, the other is called the Cannabis Race. Now, Alcohol proceeded to kill 3,000 plus of our people every year that it was here and hospitalised thousands more. Meanwhile, Cannabis was never recorded as having killed anyone and only sent a few people to the emergency room (and most of those were part Alcohol or one of the other races of Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstasy and GHB) Alcohol also got many of its people in the paper on a constant basis by causing disturbances, assaulting other people, driving cars when they shouldn't have been, and much, much more. The race of Ca…

It's federal election time this year and I thought I would post the policy of the Australian Greens on drugs as they seem to have the best policy for mj users out of all the federal parties in the arena. It can be viewed with better formatting via the link to the source at the end of the post, you will need to click on the "policies" tab, just under Bob's picture at the top of the page. 6. Drugs and Addiction THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT'S ROLE 6.1 Principles The regulation of currently illegal drugs should be moved outside the criminal framework. In a democratic society in which diversity is accepted, each person has the opportunity to achieve personal fulfilment. It …

I was just watching the ABC, and saw a show about a group of people calling themselves loosley as "hacktavists". Their actual name is "cyber hippys", and they've come up with some great stradegies for protesting. They simply bomb target companies with email, objecting to some point. They claim to have made a lot of wins, and that it's the way forward for groups to protest globally. I realise this kind of thing has been done before, but I think it was largely a shit stir, bombing companies with malicous programms that just dump loads of email to a computer to slow up their works. But these guys are targetting companies over certain issues, and encourage all their f…

The day went pretty well. It started badly with unease in the guts, just feeling it was going to be a bad day somehow, as it turned out, I was wrong. I had what was the first smoke off the white rhino, a small bud taken early and left to dry as a sample, a taster, nice, then pills. A coffee, meet Martin (a fellow patient) get tinctured up and head down to Parliament for a day at the hustings. Arrived late after a hard slog through town dropping into various offices/shops along the way. Got to Parliament about 12:30pm and started leafleting. Very Hot day, saw Hans (a staffer) from the Greens who told me that Lee Rhiannon would be asking a question of Minister Della Bosca…
