Hermie problems 1 2

Hi to everyone. I am an old school guerrilla grower from way back. I stopped growing several years ago as my strain got contaminated with the dreaded hermie scourge. I did a small grow last year with 6 clean seeds that I managed to find. I let them produce seeds so I had enough for a decent grow this year. But I'm a bit suss on this strain as the plants didn't impress me. Is hermie still a huge problem? Does anyone know where I can access good seeds from. Being an guerrilla grower I need a fair few but the only ones I can find are outrageously expensive, can anybody help me out?

Hey guys long time lurker, love the site. I used to keep online grow journals on other sites in my earlier days of growing but have lost interest in doing so over the years, so am back at it and want to keep a journal. Abit of info i grow my own strains and started breeding stock 5 years ago when i crossed subcools timewreck to a pure sativa landrace thai.."white thai" i named them as to this day, am yet to see any strain pack crystals on buds leaves stems and stalks like the timewreck. From those seeds i focused on keeping the timewreck pheno for future crosses(timewreck is a cross of vortex and bloodwreck - very potent sativa) so the best female and males where ch…

I'm packing up my grow room to sell my property, I'm trying to re home my clones. I was thinking if i cant find a home for them i would just put them outside. Being under 24 hrs of light for the at least a month i'm thinking they will just flower. Does anyone know if it's worth puting outside since they are only small or more to the point keep on vegging outside?

Hey guys, I've been reading a fair few glogs here and i understand there are probably thousands of these posts, but i would just like some advice please First off, Bunnings is my best option for supplies (live right near one). I have some aussie bagseed (thinking of purchasing online after this grow) that i would like to plant outdoors. I purchased 3 bags of Aldi Super 8 soil (on special) which is organic and has perlite already mixed in. I also have another bag of perlite from bunnings, Seasol ,GoGo Juice, Osmocote Rose & Gardenia fertilisers and thinking of purchasing manure (or blood and bone??) should i get anything else? They will be planted in 20L pot…

I am going to be doing a journal for this outdoor season this year of Jack Herer & White Widow. Medium: 50% Brunnings Tomato Mix, 25% Coco Coir & 25% Perlite. Fertiliser: Seasol Powerfeed for Tomato & Vegetables Pro series, used at 1ml PH'd at 6.5. The Jack Herer is in the ground with the original medium mixed with abit of homemade compost( Pigeon manure, Chicken manure, Cow Manure, Vege scraps and broken down seaweed) + Abit of dolomite lime and watered with Manutec Trace elements powder before planting. The Jack Herer is the more narrowed leave plant, White Widow is other. Cheers, let me know what you think and any input welcome. Will do…

I have been trying to germinate and grow SIX AK48 auto seeds for a couple of months now in the outskirts of Melbourne. I promise I'm not bashing them around, but 3 of them just went mushy in their seed pods after trying to get them to pop. The 3 others managed to pop but then failed to live beyond their first set of true leaves. - The first was put in a tiny felt pot of coir, after it had sprouted and got its first true leaves I gently touched it with my nail while inspecting it and it keeled over, causing a bend in the stem that it never recovered from. Here's a pic of it from maybe heat damage? I replanted it deeper and it's currently a tiny stunted thing with a…

Hi all. I thought it was time to start a thread to journal our progress now that we are getting up and growing again and have decided what we want to do with the girls we were gifted. They're all starting to bounce back after some neglect and transplantation into soil. All except one that is. We assume it was root rot as it was one of the plants originally in coco. Five of the seven were in coco. The two we got that were in soil didn't even bat an eye when they got put in the big pot they're all in now. The coco girls really did not like the change, but 80% survived. The one that died wasn't doing the best when she got transplanted anyway. I didn't hope much hopes for …

The Moon 1 2

I don't grow outdoors anymore but am interested if anyone plants according to the moon phase? When my partner and I grew outdoors 20 years ago, after a few seasons, we learnt that if you plant at the perfect time of month, it made a substantial difference to the health of the seedling. We used to buy a 'Moon Chart' every year to refer to but nowadays - Google. It wasn't a new idea at all. People have been using the moon in horticulture for centuries. My grandfather who was a farmer always planted according to the moon chart and harvested too, I believe. Any one have experience with this?

Hey guys, I found a good spot to grow some outdoor plants this year but the soil is so rocky it isn’t worth the effort of amending so I’ve decided to use fabric grow bags with a quality potting mix. I’ll be aiming to see them every two weeks or so and getting water and soil to the location isn’t an issue. I’ve got some blue dream and green crack seedlings in veg indoors that are about 6 inches tall that I’ll be putting out mid September. I have a question, what will give a higher yield 20 plants in 50-100 litre grow bags vs say 10 plants in 150-200 litre grow bags? Or what is the recommended pot size to make the most out of the Aussie growing season in my guerilla grow s…
