I promised some info on ppm meters, to bl0nd3 I think it was, last time I was on. So here is hopefully some information and a calculation sheet that you might find helpful. I have got most of the info from assorted places around the net over the years and have tried to make it as un-technical as I can considering the subject. There is a word 2013 doc and a 2013 excel file. Hope this is helpful. ppm.zip

Got some A-Ultimate going by Dutch Passion thought they were going ok but started to see little burning happening i didn't think much of it most of the burning than increased on only one and it was a mutant common within the DP Auto's, so i continued and done a water change now at this point i am thinking i let it go to long but it should recover my problem was i went from coco to RDWC which is chalk and cheese between the two systems, it was playing on the back of my mind what chemicals may have been ran thru the chiller by previous owner but the TDS meter was only showing 240ppm which is 150ppm tap water and only 90ppm of actual food so today i pumped out the water …

Hi all:) I have been wary of North American marine products for some time - both east and west sides. Also, the environmental cost of posting crustacean shell to Australia is quite high. For an easier and possibly superior alternative to crab shell (both as a liming and chitin source), I would suggest using cuttlefish bones or cuttlebones. The primary component is aragonite (basically calcium carbonate) and the exoskeletal is made up of chitin. I've attached a study where they found the chitin and later chitosan production to be higher than crab shell. I'm using defuse and on the bottle is says it's compatible with most micro and macro nutrients...how do I know it's totally compatible with my nutrients? The professors and you magic ATM I'm using... By the way I'm using this product to,sterilise rain tank water....what other options do I have to sterilise rain water?

Hey all, Got myself 2 blue cheese and 1 skunk and one critical mass, since the day after I purchased them there have looked sicker and sicker, I domt know what is wrong with them, I did notice a spider mite on a leaf yesterday so today I treated the whole plants with green cleaner and root cleaner. I have only just noticed them and there where no webs etc so I don't think they where my main issue here...my roots are looking really nice and starting to get there size to them, very white indeed...but the plants that's another's story they are growing but in 1.5 weeks I thought they would be 3 times the size as when I got them. Hi all, After a couple of failed seedlings my first plant has entered the flowering phase a week or so ago, and I was hoping for some advice and guidance on the flowering stage. Firstly my setup; I am growing outdoors and the seed was planted directly into a pot filled with Ozmocote Vegetable and Herb Mix from Bunnings. The plant was watered when needed during dry spells but this spring has been a bit of a wet one so mostly I have let the rain do the work. I move the plant into a small tool shed I have overnight to give the 12 hour plus darkness needed. But mostly it is a natural grow. I want to use nutrients once a week and am planning on using stuff I make mysel…

hey all getting some new clones soon, most likely blue cheese, skunk, and lemon haze.. they are most likely medium sized clones pretty well rooted most of the time...when i put them into my new system what ec should i first run them on? im running a recirculation system/Wilma now not dwc so the roots do not enter the water....less chance of problems for me.
