Checked this morning and found my HPS 400w had blown sometime over the last 24hrs. Quickly threw my trusty viparspectra in. I only use my HPS for flower, always Led for Veg. Any good recommendation for a hps brand only good for flower? I don't want a full spectrum as my Led covers veg (keeps them short and bushy I noticed). Thanks all. So today I noticed one of my plants looked a little different. It’s node seperartion is much greater than my other plants that are a lot tighter and bushier. It has just started flowering and there is the usual calyx’s with white hairs protruding but also seed pods with no hairs. I’ll attach a few pics. This is only my 4th grow so I am still learning but this looks very different. I did have abit of light interruption a couple of weeks ago with visitors staying at my house and not being able to run my tent the entire time. This was for a few days. Thanks very much for any help given

Does anyone know of varieties that will do well in in cool/cold weather? I do have a hydro setup in a weatherboard out building that is lined with plywood but here in the TAS winter the room gets very cold even during veg with the lights on(6am -12pm). I had an oil filled heater running 24/7 in there but even so temps consistently got to 8c-11c overnight and anywhere from 12c-16c of a day. I tried growing 2 varieties I had previously grown during the summer (the Church & The Doctor) but they were extremely slow growing and suffered terribly with magnesium deficiency which the horticulturalist at the grow shop said was due to the low temps impairing/preventing the …

Having some issues with my older plants with curling leaves and brown tips and one that took alot longer to bud but is now getting skinny leaves that point down and seems that some of the lower flowers are yellowing which I possibly put down to cal/mag deficiency?? . You will see in the photos, they are all auto fem and auto flowers cheers.

Just wondering what you folks use when starting off seeds in the Clay balls in a Hydro setup. Last year i used rock wool and it went OK but the rock wool cubes seem to hold a lot of water, maybe too much for the delicate root system, i have read of people having issues with these cubes. I started the seeds in the wool then when they were about 2 inches high i picked a lot of the cube away and just inserted what was left in the clay balls, as i said it went OK but just wondering if there is a better way. I have seen the collar things but not sure if the actual seed is planted in the collar or do you pop the seeds in another medium and then transplant into the collars? Anyw…

Tent is in my garage no car I open the window late arvo to let in cool fresh air and close again early morning I'm even watering with cold nutes from the fridge. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

This came up in another topic but thought I might share separately. It may be a kind of old wives tale but I plant my seeds by the moon and also try and harvest by it. I plant and try and harvest during the first quarter as for the reasons explained in the link. I'm a outdoors grower but I'm assuming it would also apply to hydroponics. It may be a myth but if it has any advantage I'm willing to give it a try. http://www.sgaonline.org.au/moon-planting/ Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

There are so many recommendations on different drying methods out there about drying and curing your product I was wondering what is the best method for maintaining quality and aroma. Haven't grown in a while but my method seemed to work. Mine was based on my own theories and not based on science just personal experience. So here is how I used to go about it. When I was nearing time to harvest I would not feed my plants in the last two to three weeks just water. When they were ready I would stop watering completely and wait for the plant to show signs of stress and then pull the whole plant roots and all, wash the remaining dirt from the roots and hang them upside down in…
