This came up in another topic but thought I might share separately. It may be a kind of old wives tale but I plant my seeds by the moon and also try and harvest by it. I plant and try and harvest during the first quarter as for the reasons explained in the link. I'm a outdoors grower but I'm assuming it would also apply to hydroponics. There are so many recommendations on different drying methods out there about drying and curing your product I was wondering what is the best method for maintaining quality and aroma. Haven't grown in a while but my method seemed to work. Mine was based on my own theories and not based on science just personal experience. So here is how I used to go about it. When I was nearing time to harvest I would not feed my plants in the last two to three weeks just water. When they were ready I would stop watering completely and wait for the plant to show signs of stress and then pull the whole plant roots and all, wash the remaining dirt from the roots and hang them upside down in…

Hey guys, just put my 3 hopeful females into 12/12 10 days ago, not showing obvious signs of sex yet tho.. I’ve been using nitrogen for the past 10 days , planning to flush in 4 days with PH water. I’m gonna use manutec liquid potash from bunnings, I’ve heard it works decently, I live in the far west of nsw so local supplies are easier . Can anybody personally give me some info on using this from a watercan application ? Not sure of the strain, just a few my mate gave me! Hey all. Pope is back I pulled my harvest in and got a decent 245 grams. I'm quite happy with my first outdoor grow. I'm throwing a few seeds out to hopefully get a couple of grams for nothing (why not) So. Budget has gotten tight again and I'm interested in doing an indoor grow. I have a pod filter to suit a car.. I'm just wondering would I be able to set it up someway to be a carbon filter??? Has anyone seen this done or done it? Cheers. Hey guys, Finally gathered everything for my first grow, but I just realised that my $4 bag of soil from bunnings probably wont cut it. Need help with what to get from bunnings so i dont fuck it all up straight away. I understand not to use any 'feeds for (x) months' soils or anything with fertilizers in it (hence why i bought the pure soil to being with), i just don't really know what is going to be best. Any help is greatly appreciated, super keen to get started growing.

Just sharing my collection, whats everyone else out there growing?

I have had ants eating my young seedlings. I thought I was doing the right thing and gave them a light spray with pyrethium but when I checked them later they looked a little burnt. I read the label on it and low down in the directions it says don't use on seedlings. Do you think they'll be fine and how do I get rid of the ants? First two are the ones the ants ate and the others are the ones that look burnt.

I'm setting up a couple of pots in an autopot setup. I'm too tight to buy the actual kit so just bought the autopot smart valve and setting up the rest myself. I can't grow it indoors so am going to give it a crack outdoors. I'm using coco coir and perlite as the medium at 70-30 mix. Just wondering who else have used this set-up and any tips for a newbie in this growing technique? So I have had a 5 drop ph test, cheap ph meter and now finishing my one drop PH test kit. What do people use? I’d like another digital one, but get the feeling the one drop test is always easier.

Does anyone use a light meter to determine how high off the canopy to place their hps light? With my recent taco leaves I've downloaded a light meter app to my phone. Plants have budlets, have been dropping their nitrogen feeds n slowing increasing their potash. Do I cut feeding them nitrogen all together or can I still give nitrogen in small quantities? Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app
