Hi all. I'm coming to the end of my first successful grow and need a point in the right direction. The girls have been 9 weeks since flip now and, being bag seed, I have no indication of how long they flower for. I am waiting on loupe in the mail for a definitive view of the trichs but have an app on my phone which can zoom in close enough to see that almost all have gone milky and the odd one or two are amber. My question is not when to harvest, but when to start flushing? and will the flushing process cause the trich ripening to speed up some? I'm worried that if i flush too early I will lose yield but too late and i will end up with plenty of CBN and not enough thc..…

Found these at Bunnings today. Not that much for growers there but this could come in handy(?). I'm planning on using it for additional light for veging a single clone while my my (small) tent is on 12/12. Plan is to start veging under the flowering one for 12hrs, then putting it under this thing in a separate box outside the tent for another 6hrs each day. Bit of a hassle but will see how it goes. Only 12 watts and at 6500k (which I believe is the right part of the spectrum for vegetative stage). About $15, Fits into those halogen worklights. Any thoughts? PS - Not sure if this is where to post such things, but I'm new around here (Also not sure how the jpgs will uplo…

Posted this in my grow diary but wanted it answered so I'll post it in the correct area. First time hydroponics so go easy on me Question about the one plant I have growing in hydroponics. She has started showing her sex but I haven't managed to get any bloom nutrients. I am using Xtreme Hydroponics grow formula which is N:P:K 8:4:1 I think. It is A & B so that's what it adds up to. Since it has started flowering I have started adding Manutec Liquid Potash to the solution which is P:K 2:14 at about half strength. Just wondering if this will work while it's flowering? I am going to switch to Manutec Hydroponics solution when I get in to pick it up which is 7.6:3.1:…

Hi my last run (widow bomb) went according to plan but has a pretty ordinary taste when vaped. Flushed for 12 days or so with rainwater. Tastes a bit like home brew beer when its too early. Had cloned it and that taste wasnt present the 1st time round. Potency is fine, works a treat. The only thing i can think of was: with 5 weeks left i ran out of Enzyme formula and finished the grow without it. Could i be tasting poor root health during the final weeks? Does anyone know anything about making your own liquid fertiliser? Hubby pinched my nutra bullet to blend a small piece of banana skin on, a kiwi fruit, bit of apple and a few potato peeling in water about 2 litres for the 3 week old babies that are comming on strong. Pored a tinny amount on the soil then turned soil a bit.

Hey all, been surfing the net again, this time, came across an interesting article in relation to environmental factors that influence sex in early stage cannabis plants. I'm assuming this will be more beneficial to growers that use regular seeds, as opposed to most of us that pop feminised beans, although it may help guarantee your feminised remain just that?.... Ok, this is also focused on young plants/ seedlings, more precisely, once the third pair of true leaves have formed. Starting with nutrients, at this stage of the plants life, more nitrogen will most likely produce fem, lower nitrogen will produce male. An increase of potassium will promote more male hormones, a…

Howdy Folks, I just ordered some PH testing / calibration solutions and was wondering if any of you have used plain old milk to calibrate your pens? Milk seems to be at 6.5. Would you think it would be OK to do it this way or another I missing something here. Cheers, Z Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

I flushed the girls 3 days ago and I'm still seeing no change with the leaves... The soil seems to be too hot still and is causing the claw still.. Any advice?

From what I've researched autoflowers like constant light through veg as they flower by age not light exposure and due to their fast-growing nature, they like having a constant light source -- even at night (happy to be corrected if I'm wrong). Have noticed her stretching a bit overnight when she's inside, I'm growing outdoor. I wanted to try to give her a bit of light to tide her over at night so she doesn't end up as a lanky mess. Thing is, this is my first grow and I haven't even scratched the surface with the basics let alone lighting. Did a brief read up to get SOMETHING while the weather is bad for the next few days as well as night time. Is this going to help or am…

Hey guys! A mate of mine handed me an interesting plant and said "grow this". Things have snowballed since then. I now have a 60x60x160 tent with a cheap and nasty ebay LED UFO and 4 CFL's around for supplemental lighting. I have a 200mm bathroom exhaust fan extracting warm air. Passive intake for now. Watering her every 2-3 days. Treated her with seasol's Powerfeed till the start of flowering (1ml/L every second watering). I've began treating her with 1ml/L Pro-PK and 2.5ml/L Canna Terra Flores (every second watering) for bud production. I have tested the soil pH (now that it's 12-12) before watering and after. Seems to stick around 5.5 - 7 which is ideal. She's at…

I have planted late this season but just a question on ideal times to start your season grow outdoors. I am currently in central QLD but done most of my previous grows in FNQ. Up there you had to deal with the wet season so I would usually plant in February or March sometimes even later as you had to deal with the wet and all the problems associated with it. Here in CQ obviously we don't have the rainfall to deal with so changes things up for me. Its a long way away but just planning ahead for next season and after advice for the ideal time to sow my seeds in my current location. I knew others that planted a lot earlier up there and had success when it got through the wet…

Hi all, First grow for me. The large plant is outdoor grow and the small plant is in a grow tent with 130w dual spectrum CFL (the large bulb from GrowLush). Not sure of what plants they are as a friend gave me a bag of seeds. Aussie bush variety no doubt... What do you think? Is it usual to have such a size difference between plants?
