General Cultivation Q&A

Before i start growing outdoors what things will i need? I know the obvious eg. water but like what type of water? Tap? Bottle? I used tap but i let it sit for one day before i used it what else will i need? thanks..

I'm growing in a cupboard atm and am expierencing a few problems. main prob keeping the temp under control. I'm going to buy some fans soon so there is proper air flow. My question is..... my DWC buckets are quite warm. like almost warm bath temp. hahaha. this cant be good for the plants. what temp should i be keeping the tubs and what temp should the cupboard be + do i need humdity or not? thanks ppl. hey everyone,if root clones indoor under fluro/ growlux 24/7 until rooted then take outdoors how long will they flower 4 before they change back 2 veg,and what about large clones same shit???

heres a photo of what i thought were both the same strain (AK47/C99)........unless maybe i got my seeds a bit mixed up as u can see one is alot taller than the other one which is shorter but bushier...maybe the taler one is more sativa dominant? i dont know which of my plants are boys or girls yet, wish they would hurry up an start flowering though....

HI there, Firstly, thanks to everyone for their advise. I've got 5 x 5 foot MJ's in full flower on the first attempt due to your help and support. A question now. Do you guys continue your watering cycles during the night cycle of 12 / 12 ? I've always continued the water cycle of a night, but I have read recently that this can increase humidity to a dangerous level during the night, and encourage `Bud Rot' etc. The RH on my Grow room has been about 70 - 85 % recently. Hi everyone, when germinating a seed, i used distilled water in fish filter wool, but how long should i leave them in there?? some publications say to have it there overnight, others say 2 weeks. And also is leaving it on top of something warm required? thanks

Hey guys i was given this bush bud wich was pretty pathetic not much of a high at all , anyway i was given a few fair seeds to try out ive put them in the backyard since the thc in his plant was pretty low im guessing myn will be to . Any idea's how i can get the thc level any higher ? .

G,Day all Just need some as much advice as I can get. I got given this mister from a mate and have it going next to a bubbler to see the difference. I got told I will see a good bit off difference if I can work out how it works. At the moment there is little difference.SO if I can get as much info as can be, I would love to here it Thanks

Hi everyone. This is a great site, I'll post my first growing experience as soon as it's finished. It looks like I've done *almost* everything wrong, but I've got a bush in my wardrobe and I've learnt a lot for next time. I was hoping someone could tell me if it's ok, or even necessary, to prune the big arse fan leaves that are covering the secondary growth, the leaves are pretty much sitting on top of each other. The first pic shows the undergrowth with the fan held back, the second is taken from pretty much the same angle with the fan leaf back in place. I'm worried that the undergrowth isn't getting enough light but I think I read that you're not suppo…

This isn't a bold new statement, just an observation. I recently germed some bb in two mediums - some in a perlite vermiculite mix put in the hole in a 2 inch rockwool block, and some in Bunnings seedling starter mix. The rockwool were done 1 week earlier. I soak overnite then put the seeds in whether they've germed or not. So - the rockwool, lost one seed the rest up in 4 days. The seedling starter, lost none, 2 up in 2 days after planting, the rest up on day 3. Now 3 weeks on the seedling starter ones look a lot more vigorous than the rockwool ones. hi der, anyone used bloom & boost 1 pt from GT in a bubbler config'? I've heard these can be used at the recommend doses 7ml per L bloom 1ml per L Boost........I'm just over half at presant 10 days in bloom , still pulling the males out (seed grow) had the EC 1.2 ms/cm @.5.........but I'd like to start pushin on this with PK13/14 in 3 weeks & gh rippen last 10 days thx in advance o2

From the time I started growing I must have thrown out a couple of dozen spray bottles that stop working after a few uses. At last I have found one thats worked for me problem free for over three months and still going strong. I raided the cook and senior bud trimmer's cupboard in desperation one day and found this little gem so I've now placed a layby on four bottles of bathroom mould remover for her xmas present. Anyone had any success with other spray bottles ?
