http://www.rexresearch.com/hhusb/hh2cul.htm#HH27 interesting read under section 2.7 - diseases and pests Cannabis' resistance to diseases and pests can be strengthened by the judicious use of methyl salicylate, which is a major component of wintergreen oil. Aspirin (acetyl salicylic acid) also is effective. Dissolve two tablets in a quart of water and apply the solution as a foliar spray. anyone do this or ever heard of it??? btw - 1 quart = @ 950 ml

hi, confused first time grower here in sydney i've got 3 plants growing on my balcony, they must be about 10 weeks old from seed. i just noticed that the tops of the plants look different, and was wondering if they've actually started flowering already, even though there's still more daylight than night. lower down the plants there are none of these growths, just very small 'hairs'/leaves at the intersections where branches leave the main stem i'd appreciate it if you could check out the pic and tell me - are they flowering already?? cheers sausage

Hey guys, this is my first thread on here and its gonna be about my little darlings ofcourse, i got 4 little tykes in a potplant, all seem to be going rather well and they are only about 4 weeks old, 2-3 inches tall. My major problem i have, i was givin a plant yesturday from a friend i do not know how old the plant is, and he hasnt been lookd after. He is an outdoor plant thats just been left and waterd every so often. His main stem has been snapped of, but he has grown another kinda branch of the side of the main stem. This branch is about 7 inches long, the first 4 inches are just the long stem/branch and then the top 3 inches are full of leaves. because he is top hea…

TALL STORIES 1 2

I can’t count the number of ridiculous stories that I have heard from people (usually at a party or pub after a few beers), or read on grow forums about this mysterious grower-friend and their even more mysterious growing methods. Common tall tales include the dude that has 50 (or more!) eight foot tall Christmas trees in his basement (anyone with 50+ plants would keep their mouth shut). Or the bloke who hangs his plants or buds upside down so that "the resins would 'drain' into the buds"….. (resins don't 'drain', period). Or their friend who sprays their buds with (pick one)… water, assorted fruit juices, semen, dissolved contraceptive pills, piss from an ovulating gi…

MODERN TIMES it has recently become apparent to me that some growers are unaware of the benefits of frames and the people that do , even people that consider themselves to be major growers most are still not aware of aluminum tubbing. Its cheap and so are solid plastic fittings to suit. it always is a shame to see so much effort and money that goes into some setups all to have it spoilt by a dodge bit of wood banged together absorbing mold and who knows what other dieses. also the strengh and weight of wood are a pain in he ass. :thumbdown I would like to hear others views on this. jailbreakin........................... :yingyang

This forum is full of great info. My only problem, being from the states I don't understand a lot of the slang. Oh well guess I'll burn another maybe it will make more sense then. I have been kickin an idea around for awhile just have not figured out how to put it together yet. I got a small space with two 400w HPS as a supplement I also have two 4 foot double fixture fluorensants sitting on end to keep the lower parts growin. My question is I would like to put my plants on some kind of turn table that would rotate at about two revolutions an hour. I think this would even out growth a little better. Any body got any ideas for a set up like this? Thanks in advance …

How long can I wait before I need to clone? My plants are probably 2-3 weeks into flowering. But some I still am unsure about the sex of some plants, especially the best one that I want to clone off.

Just wanted to know what everybody thinks is the best way to germinate your babies. The way i have been germinating my seeds is by putting them in a jar half filled with water and leaving them in a dark area in my cupboard. This is a methond i picked up on an internet site, but it doesnt have a very good succsess rate i think the ratio was 1:6 germinate. So if anyone can suggest a different and more effective way to germinate seeds please get back to me :thumbsup :yingyang

hey. well, im sick of soil allready, the mess, the wrong pH soil, blahh! everything! im going to grow them a little bigger, and take clones, start DWC. im going to have 2 plants, DWC scrog. im looking to get about 20oz out of a cupboard size 160L X 49W X 170H CM. - this grow will be the replacement for this years failed attempt at an outdoor grow, even though its pretty late in the season. ok, ive got 1 air pump, twin outlet, im guessing im goin to need another ? 400w HPS & 130w CF. if the plant is suspended in clayballs, there is no need to water them is there ? the plant draws the nute solution straight from the tub right ? when i take my clones, when pu…

I dunno what to say. im gonna bloody cry . If these are male/hermie, should i just pull em now, so as i dont have to pull seeds out of the final product?? here is what i saw this morning, when i went into my room. (I pulled the bud apart so as i could see in the middle of it. ) (click for larger pic) http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/nugget23/th_DSCF0226Custom.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/nugget23/th_DSCF0227Custom.jpg :crying:

Hi. I'm just after some info on plant identification, strain id, ect. I've got a container of seeds I've collected over the years. I've been growing for about a year, but I never know exactly what I'm growing. I'm just wondering if they are a certain strain of plant, does it need more or less nutrients, ph adjustment, ect. I'd like to look at the leaf and kinda know what I'm geting at the end. Thanks... Like your site....
