Blonde Question!!

Recommended Posts

Eikel's take on MJ plant stages of development and their descriptions.

1st Stage, seedling germination and formation of "true leaves".

This stage is from the day the seeds "cracked" showing a tap root to 2-3 weeks

after germination (dependant on strain).

Basically the seedling starts to form the "real" plant from within the initial stem and cotyledons that coem outta the seed. This stage is over when you see the "skin" (taproot/stem) of the original seedling start to peel away and die from the stem of the new MJ plant.

2nd Stage, Veg/Maturation.

This stage is when the plant is growing big, but no flowering hormones are being produced (generally). Long-term Vegging plants from seed may start to show preflowers which indicates sexual maturity being reached. This stage of growth varies dependant on the growers requirments.

3rd Stage, Pre-flower.

This stage is when the plants growth tips turn from growing nodes and laterals into forming "colas". Typically the bud will appear within the leaves roughtly level with them. This is usually week 1-3 of the flowering cycle.

4th Stage, Heavy Flower.

This stage is when the "budlets" formed in the "pre-flower" stage start to ellongate and thicken up, this is when the plant is full-on trying to breed and have babies (seeds).

This stage lasts week 3 of flower onwards.

All information posted is strain dependant, however it's a good guesstimation of development of most MJ plants in general. All information is also based on indoor growing with 18/6 lighting for veg and 12/12 for flower
