Does anyone ever have a problem getting their PH down. I bought advanced nutrients PH down and its supposed to be very concentrated. The guy told me to add just a few drops really to bring it down. My PH is at 7 atm, and ive added probably 20 drops and it has hardly gone down. Anyone got any advice for me? Or should i just keep adding the acid. Thanks

If I was to construct a NFT system with round pipe so that in effect I was doing DFT (deep flow technique), I would have to run the nutes at a lower rate than what I am now through the clay balls wouldn't I? what EC - ballpark? Has anyone tried DFT? I've read that you should fill the round 6"pipes to around 40% before they hit the drain - does that sound correct? At around 1-2lt/min I think... And the pots sit lower when the clones are young, higher as they grow longer roots, so should this be timed with the switch of lights? I know that whatever level the waterline is established at must be consistently maintained to ensure you don't drown the oxygen grabbing roots but …

Is cloudy/brownish what we want? That is the best overall body/head stone yeah? I have been feeding them with nothing but PH adj water for 10 days now in cocopeat and have just gone from 100% clear to 50/50 clear/cloudy. Did i stop giving them nutrient to early? Ok, I finally worked out the way I'm going forward with this grow, and seeing as I've committed my limited resources already toward it, it is what I will be doing. No turing back now, the goodies are bought. I want to do something completely different in the long run, but for this grow, I'm going to utilise the odd shape area I have thus- 1400mmx800 x about 8 feet tall. !k watts HPS, with a adjusta shade that's almost exactly thelength and width of my grow space.Perfect. I've made c lone/mother set up elsewhere, so it's designated and ready. Apart from the 1200mm sq flood table I scored at the dump for ten bux, last week (when going back ou tthere to se if I could fin…

I am going to set up a wardrobe grow from seed, however I need to get the show on the road as quick as possible. I am wondering what the best technique would be to start from seed, determine sex and then either remove the males and hermies and scrog the females, or maybe take a few clones from every plant and have them in veg while I turn back the main light to flower, determine which will be males and then transfer all the females into the wardrobe and gp from there. I was wondering if its possible to just flower plants for long enough to determine sex, then return back to veg for a while tio scrog em, than flower again? Whats the earliest I can start a strain such as ku…

Just wanted to check with everyone what week I should add the PK 13-14 to the res? Is it week 4 from the beginning of flower? I'm flowering for 9 weeks (I'm assuming) and flushing for 10 days at the end. Jimbo

Hey... Roughly... How much do you reckon your plants grow from vegging them to well into the flowering stage? What I mean is, you reckon they double in size, triple etc? Just trying to work out if I should let 'em keep on growing a little longer or turn them this weekend? I'm running out of screen, but if need be, I could set up another... All the tips are starting to head straight up now. There are shitloads. Being only my second grow, I don't really know what to expect from this lot... Any suggestions, Cheers 'snake

A while ago some talk was being made on making clones using water bublers. Along the way someone asked how the rooted clones were removed from the bubbler without damaging the roots. One way was shown using thin styrafoam, and I thought it might be worth showing this way too. I realise most everyone's done this, but thought it might be of value to anyone not having done it before. I was shown how to do this withthe idea of keeping the plant stem out of the water body itself, and just close enough that tghe exploding bubbles wet the stem, so as to help beat any chance of rot. But then recently I was told it doesn't matter a rat's arse, and they strike so quick I have n…

I spent a lot of time looking into growing Lowryder before finally taking the plunge. To be honest I had heard so much negative press about them, I was having a hard time convincing myself that the price was worthy for a strain most people thought only a novelty plant as opposed to a serious indoor proposition. I was speaking with the guy who runs Seedsman seeds in the UK, and he offered me a pack of Lowryder 2 free of charge. The new Lowryder which has been crossed with a Brazilian strain (Santa Maria) in a bid to improve taste and stone! I said "yes" and "thanks" all in the same breath and while I waited for them to arrive I started to do some research online. I…
