General Cultivation Q&A

Hey guys. Any of you guys had experience with growing plants indoors then bringing them outdoors at the start of spring time? What Strains did you use? I plan on growing some plants indoors from seed... determining their sex... making clones and building ranks.. right before the start of the outdoor season. Also.... reckon a plant under 24/0 indoor light would revert to flower when brought outside? Furthermore... I live in Australia... so if your a northern hemi.. your light hours and intensity are differeent... thus your advice does not merit. Cheers - Allotropy

So thanks to a bunch of your help, my first grow in over 5 years was a success. So i'm turning to you guys for more help .......I took clones about a month and a half ago, and my question is: Are the clones too old to use now? They are definitely root bound and look ready, but will i be better off taking new clones? Should clones be transplanted right away when root bound, or can they sit for a good while and wait for you to use them? Thanks in advance for all the help. - yota

anyone use or have experiance with dutchmaster zone????? can you use it with oxyplus? can you use it with cannazym and biobugs? i just cant seam to find any good info on it at all. thanks

I am going to be growing under 6 T5 high output lights (they use ballasts) but id like to take a clone off each plant (6 plants in total) root it and force it to flower to determine the sex of the plant it came from so i can destroy the males earlier in the grow. would 1 23W CFL do the job? (Id only flower 2-3 clones at a time) would it be enough light to get them to show sex?

Hey Guys, Am growing Big Bud under a 600w HPS temp is approx 24c and humidity is 40% suddenly my plants are yellowing from the bottom up with the leaves going yellow from the inside of the leaf then dying have included a photo any help would be awesome.

I found some seeds in a film canister and decided to start growing. not sure what they are. these seeds are most like years old from back when my dad used to grow. They are at the end of the 5th day in the paper towel and nothing has happened to the 10 seeds except for two, these two haven't cracked down the side of the seed the have just popped, they just have a hole in them and are pretty much empty. Are these seeds buggered or is there hope? thanks.

Hi all Many people have been telling me to add perlite to my potting mix but just recently I have been told its not a good idea. when is the best time to use or can you use through out the grow

I have several Bubblegum in 1 litre pots in soil under 38 watts growlux fluro in a cardboard stealth grow box. they are at day 23 now. see pic below. I want to take clones in 5 days time. Can I take the top 3 inches offa the plant and use that as a clone since the plant is only 12cm tall(5 nodes) at moment?...

I will be starting my first hydro grow within 2 months. lotsa lurking and learning over the past 3 months.. I plan on having four 25L containers in one square metre. one plant per container. A 1900L/hr airpump with four outlets for the four containers. A 600Watt HPS light. A 150mm centrifugal fan with odour sok. I need to know the size my controller bucket should be relative to individual bucket size...if possible is there a formula?... like there is for water resevoir (water reservoir should be same as total system capacity)... the range I am thinking of at moment for controller bucket is from 25L to 100L.... any comments appreciated..
