General Cultivation Q&A

I have been reading here about bud rot & how in some cases people loose a lot of what they love. Now to my understanding you get but rot when there is too much moisture in the bud which for outdoors is after a rain. Well how would one go about using a automotive/solvent type pressure pump bottle (the one's you pump the plunger to make pressure so liquid sprays out & are normally red & white) to just blow air onto the bud & blow that pesky water away? Just a thought as they are compact, portable & cheap. I may even look to see what kind of compressed air bottles are around as a small 1 could do the job with a small air attachment.

Hello everyone, i'm still waiting on those seeds and I found a very large cardboard box in my attic that is perfect (.75mx.75mx2m). I will be planting 5 of my seeds so hopefully I can get 2 females out of that. The box already has metal poles that go across the box half way up and at the top, so I will be able to hold my light from them. My main concern is will it be a big fire hazard? Can i get a fireproof blanket and toss it on the box? Is there anything that I can spray the box with that will make it fireproof? The box will make my grow 10x more stealthier. Thanks everyone!

hello was wondering wat the opinions are out there amongst the coco growers as to the best nutes for a coco/perlite system...not inclucing canna coco i have the option of DUTCH MASTERS HOT COCO.. and G.Ts .ADVANCED COCO nutrient ive used neither before.. i lean towards the DM as its a 2 part and has bloom specific nutes aposed to GT 2 part but i think 1 nutes all the way threw no grow no bloom mainly interested in those that have used the products and give me an honest opinion i say boo to the rediculous price of canna.. ive had a good run with canadian xpress 2 part for bloom but im almost out and cant find it anywhere anymore all thoughts are appreciated take care b…

Hi people, its been awhile since iv posted,hows everyone? Iv been talking to my pen pal in the Netherlands and last year he was growing the bubblelicius strain ( i think 2 time winner for indica cup) and it was the bomb,he and everyone that smoked it said it was amazing compared to the mostly commercial sativas that go around. Anyway, during one of his grows he got lazy and failed to take clones at the right time and that generation sadly died off.. After that he decided to get Belladonna Strain (Skunk Sativa) and while the smoke has been good for him during his few grows of that strain, its defenetly no indica, it is strong-ish but lacks the couch lock and is just mor…

Is there a way that a outdoor plant can be harvested but sill kept alive? like only take 3/4 of it or is it once flowering is finished the plant dies?

I've changed to advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow 2 part and am running Canna Rhizo, Zym, SilicaMagic & Superthrive with it. I get a cloudy moment in the res when I add the Rhizo and the performance of the nutes is a little slow to say the least. I am putting the ingredients in the res in the following order - Silica, Grow A+B, Zym, Rhizo then ST. Is there any disadvantages people know of if you combine AN's Sensi with Canna additives? Jimbo

heya everybody, i,ve rcently taken a few big bud clones and used them on a wanna be aeroponics grow. but all the leaves on all the plants only have 3 fingers and they are approx 25cm high is this due to overcloning or growing conditions maybe something else.........

i have 2 plants still alive, both in same conditins(autopots joined), one is growing well 3rd set of leaves the other 1 has grown 2nd but they now look bit crispy and less green. It has grown slower the nutes were .08 EC 560 ppm. I just upgraded to 1 EC 2day. they under 100w 6400k fluro. I was gonna putem under 400w hps tommrw but 1 aint lookin so good. They been veg now for about 3 weeks from seed (since they sprouted been 3 weeks). According to nutes, i should have been on 1.14 ec from week 1 but i came in slowely. Any advice? Maybe it needs stronger nutes?? One growing very well tho, got me fuked.

I have been having crazy high PH levels and problems in my res and thought for the longest time that it was my water. I had my water tested etc, and it turned out to be pretty good water. That confused me even more. Then my local hydro store guy tells me advanced nutrients recalled some of its products including the one i was using - Monkey Juice! I checked out my monkey juice and The Bloom A smelled like puke, and had chunks in it. The Grow B (i think) smelled nasty also and had some solid stuff in it looking like mold puss pockets. NASTY!
