General Cultivation Q&A

I want to be able to grow 1 or 2 plants for personal use I am just worried about the legal status, am I allowed to have one in my back yard? Is it socially acceptable to grow 1/2 plants even if the cops see it? Am I going to have to grow this in my wardrobe? I live in Melbourne, down on the Mornington Peninsula, I was thinking of maybe planting it in some random location, is this practical? What time should I plant these random plants?

Hi. I'm pretty new to this but I'm an eager learner. Here is my deal. I have an aerogarden that I'm using for cloning (my grow is soil). It works good but I'm only using tapwater and adding a little 3% hydrogen peroxide each day. Thats it. No nutrients or anything. I get roots on all of them EVENTUALLY (some strains much faster than others), usually between 10-20 days they show roots. By the 8th day or so I am seeing yellowing of the leaves and little burn spots on the tips of the leaves where I made cuts. I eventually move them to soil when they are ready but alot of times there are no leaves left at all by the time the roots are enough to transfer to soil. I us…

Hey all Me and my mate are looking into the wonderful world of outdoor growing we are planning to grow out in the bush near were we live , we've had a few indoor crops nothing to major , and I was curious as ive heard a few conflicting things as to preparing your area. I was wondering if its worth the trouble of fertilising the soil before hand or if its a better idea to do it when your transfering plants over ? And what is a good fertaliser to use? Next questions i suppose would be the use of water crystals and wether they are actually worth it? i have heard that water crystals can also soak up liquid fertiliser which can lead to burning the roots could anyone cla…

Hi all, this is my first post on this site. My question is this, Does anyone know of any techniques to getting harder buds? I have been growing in hydro for a while now and it seems im not getting the weight that i could be. My buds seem hard when they are growing, but then when they dry they are more fluffy and weight pretty light. So is there any techniqes for making them hard. Heres what im working with. four 1000 watt HPS over a pipe dreams type system. (PBC PIPING) I have a 12x10 feet room (3mx2and a half m) My light is adequeate for the space. Just a quikie.. has anyone here had any experience purchasing goods from this company online ?? They have a couple of really good deals on atm , which Im thinking of grabbing , but would really like to know from any members if they have a good rep or not., as Im not familiar with the "Aussieponics" company.
