Looking through various cannabis strains I was confused and fascinated by the large variety of genotypes available. So naturally i am wondering how to chose... Are the Cannabis Cup winners a cut above the rest? or should I go by price to determine quality? Are the strains quite true to their description, or only half true? (exotic scents and flavours, and type of high) Your thoughts and experience please.

Hey all, AndyDank here. I'm new to the forums but have been a cannabis enthusiast for a little over 3 years I've decided it's time to kick the unreliable dealers to the curb and get a jump on my own grow op. I'm currently residing in a sharehouse with a few "opened minded" roomies so stealth isn't an issue. Since I'm new to cultivating our beloved Mary Jane, I only want to start small with 2-4 plants growing at a time and would like to keep the op on a budget. Over the last couple of days I've done a fair amount of research into the different indoor grow styles there are and have been tossing around a few ideas. eBay has cheapish grow tents kits that come with t…

Who uses medi-one on their plants?, because I have just spent the last coupla hours looking for some positive feedback from people other than testers employed by the company. Why, because I'm about to suss it out, but not on all the plants. I'm going to grow three plants, same strain, same medium, different nutes. First feeding program will be medi one, as per recommended feeding plan on the label, however, I am already unsure, the npk being the main concern, the second coming from when I opened the bottle for the first time, talk about ripe! The second program, I'm going to have another crack with seasol and power feed, this time with the addition of guano during flower…

Okay, I was just curious as to the answer, hermaphrodites. If you have a hermie, and you cut clones from the female branches, prior to pollination, will they grow female plants, or simply replicate the mother/father? It is my understanding that a self pollinated hermaphrodite produces hermaphrodite seed, is this a correct assumption?

Hey all. So i have been wondering if there is a light colour/spectrum that can be used during lights out time? I went searching and read an article on another site/forum where a grower said he used a standard green coloured bulb in his grow space if he needed to do any work during the lights out period. And that it hadn't affected the plants cycle at all. ? Can anyone shed anymore light on tthe subject? yNg

Hey guys this is really doing my head in. The other day I got my canna coco nutrients and used 3ml of a and b into 1.5 - 2l of water, then watered my plants. The day after they looked great so about 42 hours after the first feed i did the same again. They were coming along great, about 2 days after that same thing, this time i sprayed with Yates Pesticide and turned the lights off for like 6 hours. I came back turned the lights on and looked at em about 3 hours after the lights had been on and WTF!!!.... i started to notice small burns on the leaves and I was quite confused, I thought it was they spray so turned the light off for about 35 - 40 minutes and sprayed all the …

i've been having something odd occur of late. my run off ph has consistently been 7.1 or 7.2 no matter the ph of water going in. it's usually 6.0 or very close to. i've got dolomite in there doing it's thing but my understanding is lime doesn't buffer higher than 7 - am i wrong? also i've heard from one source that an over abundance of microbes to fungi in the mix can throw the balance out in this direction (i use aerated tea with focus on bacteria) - is this true? the girls are looking healthy enough but theres some twisting in the new leaves so something's out. i have added more dolomite than i usually would with this mix, should i just keep on with what im doing or w…
