A couple of months ago I asked my GP about obtaining cannabis to treat my ongoing symptoms.

"Ohh ahhh, I don't know anything about the processes, I wouldn't know where to start..."

Being that I'm in SA and there being no clinic's here (our state Gov't (Liberal) still have their heads buried firmly up their own arses)  I thought the whole process would be a waste of time

I went investigating and found a clinic in NSW, who would go through the whole process online.

 

So after a couple of weeks of paperwork both from myself and my GP, today I got the call from the clinic and have had the initial approval.

I now have to obtain the approval from the TGA but from what I've been told this should not be a problem and should take less than a week.

The Dr I spoke to has told me that what he would be prescribing is a CBD and THC combination as my situation is pain related.

I asked the Dr about the cost of the medication itself as it is NOT on the PBS and I have to say it is NOT cheap.

The Dr himself would not actually tell me a defined cost but advised me to call the chemist in Victoria.

Upon doing so I was told $270/50ml + postage ($30), so $300 delivered. First thought "Fuck, it'd be cheaper to go buy an ounce" but have decided to follow through with the process.

 

At this point I have not been told of the recommended dosages, so how long that 50ml is going to last I am unsure.

I am also unsure if I may be able to get my local chemist to get it in for me or whether it needs to come from an approved compounding chemist, solely in Victoria.

 

So the processes have been started. The dr and the prepaid TGA approvals have cost me $550 so far (that's without the script itself), so let's see how much more it's gonna cost

When I have any further info I will let you all know.

The cheapest I've found has been Belmont Road Discount Drug Store in QLD. I'm not saying the are the cheapest, but they're certainly cheaper than any of my local chemists.

Hi crew, I am still waiting for the pharmacy to ring me to let me know that they have received my script for medical cannabis oil But hey it has only been 5 days from my last appointment with my doctor on the 18/04/2020.I am just hanging out to see if this canna medication will help me can't blame me for that  .

 

i have been checking a lot of web sites that look lagit an they have the lot for sale here in Australia an posted with in Australia as well an the prices seem ok as well an they have a heap of different strains for sale even the very low THC strains with high CBD levels that would help a lot of people an young children with so many illness .I am still thinking of giving one site a go an if all works out well I will post a link to there site But I will not post any link here if they don't come good with the medication.All they will get is a post telling people not to go any where near them as I do not want anyone here being ripped off by scammers.

 

 I am very interested in the strain called AC/DC It is a high CBD  low THC strain plus the have quite a few other low THC with high CBD plus they have a lot of new canna weed strains with high THC in them  so I will keep you posted.

As soon as my Kids are 18 years old...We are going to sell everything and move to another Country, most likely Porto

This Country has 2 years exactly to get its shit together...Not going to happen.

The main reason is Taxation, I'm sick of getting raped and I've fucking had enough...you watch just how much Tax's are going to increase from here.

 

We sold CBA first up...Then sold Qantas....Then we sold Telstra....Then we sold Electricity Plants.....The fucking list goes on and on.

Our Government Kunts now have nothing left to sell....WE ARE INSOLVENT...and this country is going to be a very very difficult place to live in real soon.

 

If these Dumb Kunts get serious about Taxation I might stay...Like I said thats never going to happen...Now all the big paying Jobs like mine for example are gone.

Companys dont pay Tax so where the fuck are they going to get the Money from...Say goodbye to the Pension...Anyone who thinks thats going to stay is fucking dreaming.

 

Almost all of the Aviation Company's I've worked for in the last 36 years have gone broke. they have been and always will be poorly run.

Take a look at that fucked up retarded Irish Kunt CEO at Qantas.....All the Money they earned they used it to leaver up and buy back shares.

 

The KUNT airline sits on the ground for just 1 day and they need a bail out.....and the tax payer bails this Criminal Behaviour and not only that,,they fucking reward it.

 

We should be all on the Streets with Pitch Forks running around trying to Stab every KUNT Banker...every Kunt Politician,...and every Kunt Financial Advisor in the neck!

OK, so given it a few days to settle into a routine

Oil in the morning works well with bud for top up. The Penrose THC Indica seems to be working for pain control too, another plus.

Tried taking the oil at night but woke with an awful hangover the following day, ahhh no thanks.

It says take 0.25ml twice/day, but I'm up to 1ml twice/day

Good one Merl1n so glad the cannabis an pharma medication mix is starting to work for you,Is this the first time that the cannabis medication mixed with the parma medication  really helped kill some of the pain you have ,or were you having much the same  out come as before when using your own canna medication mixed with the pharma medication.??

 

 It sounds like things maybe looking up for you this time around only time will tell hey mate.

 

I ended up ringing the pharmacy this morning to fined out what is going on with my canna scripts as it has been just on a week from when they were sent my canna medication script.

 

The young lady at the pharmacy told me she had my script ,So i sorted out the price an paid them now they have sent my script off to be filled by the medical cannabis supplier an then it will be sent back them an then they post it off to me .lot of F~!@#$%^&*King around hey but that's the way it goes .

 

  Cost of a 25ml bottle of 10%THC & 10% CBD oil = $110.00 plus about $25.00 express post ,So all up it will cost me $135.00 for the 25ml bottle,An the doctor gave me another 5 repeats on the script.

 

The lady at the pharmacy told me just to ring them 7 day after I receive my first script an they will send me another bottle of goodness out to me so I don't run outta oil.

 

So it will be just over a week from today before i get any medication,O well I can't complain as everything has gone very smoothly so far,It's taken from the 8/4/2020 to 24/4/2020   to get this far only a few more days an I will have my medical cannabis oil.

 

This is 1 very happy camper.

I would get my pharmacy to fill the medical cannabis scripts out for me but the cannabis laws in Western Australia will not let a pharmacy fill a script that has been written out in another state like NSW as any medical cannabis that has THC in it is classed as  a {S8}  class drug, But my pharmacy can fill the script if it is only CBD oil with out ant THC in it.

 

So any Western Australians take note.

Hey Dingo,

No, this isn't the first time. I've been self medicating for years. But this is the first time it's been able to be quantified. For me it seems the boost in THC both from the flower AND the oil is having a desired benefit.

And, yes, there can be a LOT of pissing around in the initial application/stages, but once the processes are sorted, the system seems to work (semi) OK. I must admit tho, I have traced each step in the processing and if there's been an issue or a hiccup I've been on to it fairly quickly, so when I say '...(semi )OK...', that should read 'Semi ok, with monitoring...' Because when there are issues everybody seems to be pointing the finger at everybody else. By knowing the processes and monitoring each step it reduces the finger pointing as you can see who handled what and when and then identify who cocked up and why.

 

You say about WA pharmacies and it's similar in SA. The costs here are stupid high and I think that's part of our state govt approach of not supporting canna as a med. "You can have it, BUT it's not easily accessible in SA". The use of canna as a med was brought up at a pain management clinic meeting at a major hospital I attended and the conversation was shutdown REAL quick by the facilitators as a 'Non approved treatment'. Whether this policy has changed, I'm unsure, but with the state govt not supporting canna, I doubt it.

 

P.S. The 'S8' classification for canna is a joke and a legacy of old outdated thinking IMO
