I came across this on the book of faces. I'd just get rid of the coffee groumds and cut your losses.

Again I wonder how soon after making the blend they plant the seeds.

 

Also 10 & 50% are very high proportions.

I have a local hire firm that will rent me a 100 litre towable electric mixer for $63/day.

Try before you buy and over a day I should have no trouble making plenty of soil.

Can't believe they have gone to so much trouble to build a towable cement mixer and then chuck a tiny little 100L bucket on it..

I wouldn't be putting 100 litres into a 100 litre bucket ,it will be too full to mix properly.

 

The capacity used to be in square feet ,,don't know when that was changed.

They actually advertise in cubic metres and cubic feet. I put the litres in.

 

I would think about 80 litres each time, I'd need 13 mixes to do a cubic metre.

Here you might find this a bit easier. Once your soils done then just use it for your compost as well

Thank you, that's an excellent idea. I've never had a tumbling bin, I'll get one early next week.

like the way you're thinking ...

 

just a quick one for the hire cement mixer ... i'd be a little worried about what went in it before ... most are cleaned pretty well, but you just never know. i've tried the tumbler way like aquadolly suggests. might have bought the wrong one, but for me it was a bit of a pain getting the mixed soil out ... it was a cheapie though and not as well designed as the one above.

 

if you have a few mates you can ask for help ... one on each corner of a big tarp with lots of meeting in the middle, and a bit of shaking, could do the job, as well. might need a few liquid refreshments and some smoko though to keep things happy and friendly.
