I see your point though.

 

Some of us want Artisan quality without having to think too much or worrying about whether the batch of soil you got this time around will be as good next time or if you have problems you'll ask yourself if it was possibly the soil.

 

It's an investment in quality and can be reused once amended. Gets better over time unlike other soils that get depleted then you're left wondering what to add.

 

I'll be trying the recharge pack as soon as it arrives and adding it to my existing soil I have cooking now so I'll let you know how it goes and take pics.

 

Won't be as scientific as itchie's but should be fun.
